User ID: 76775164 United States 01/24/2020 07:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great choice! But...easy critizising when you don't play/sing yourself. I admire ALL who tried to play an instrument in the beginning. Quoting: sbt I mean, it is such a miracle that we/they evolved into the groups you mentioned! Sigh! And goodnight. I've been playing guitar since I saw Chick Corea & Return to Forever back in Hill Auditorium in 1975. My Guild OakLeaf blows away any SG! Couple of Strats & a Tele along with a Gibson ES335 made by a friend. Lot of acoustics along the way until I got a D35 about 5 years ago now. I've noticed that the Strats sounds a bit more twangy with the original style saddles as opposed to the 'block' ones on the American Series; though not as clean, a bit quicker as they're more forgiving. Creedence Clearwater was also big time back in those days, and Daw-G has posted another old favorite, Grand Funk! Had an old Sly & the Family Stone tape that got a lot of play. In the summer of '68 I read a lot of Archie Comic Books listening to Jimi Hendrix's Bold as Love. In requiem Neal Peart, with a dig at LedHeads who refuse to acknowledge any drummer this side of the late great John Henry Bonham, check out this 'early rendition' of Moby Dick: |
