The official religion in the Philippines is Catholicism.

I think it has lessened in the last decade, but whenever I was in the Philippines and needed to go to a government building, like immigration or police... the Catholic run government required everyone to read about the catholic faith and then pass a test before you could even get a number assigned to get in line.

The first time was at the Davao immigration office and I politely refused. I was forcibly taken to the police precinct next door, finger printed, pictured and told I was being trespassed for 14 days.

This is an example of what a separation of church and state is not, and there are dozens of other countries that are secular.

People who complain about Christian exhibits on government property or Christian based groups meeting in a school or local government building really need to live in a country like the Philippines to have a clue of what separation of church and government really means.
