In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

Domesticated birds need vet care like any other animal. There are vets who specialize in them.

Re: Cockatoo refuses to go to the VET
Cockatoo's are VERY intelligent, one of the most intelligent birds that we know of, maybe the most intelligent. It may well be able to understand human speech to a much larger degree than most people give them credit for.

As for why Cockatoo's need to go to the Vet ... just like a human it needs a regular physical and trimming of it'
nails. Cockatoos are long livers 60 to 80 years is not uncommon. (read that they can live to be over 100)

I have an acquaintance who took over ownership of one that was the "House Bird" at a restaurant for nearly 30 years ... and it is still going strong now over 30 years AFTER the restaurant closed!! He brings it around with him sometimes when he goes to outdoor parties or sports events etc., which it LOVES. While it could fly away when he takes it out of the house it never does ... though I have seen it fly around a couple of times and then land back on his shoulder when he is taking it out for some socializing (it enjoys people). It much prefers to sit on his shoulder and have people talk to it, much like the life it led when it "worked" for the restaurant. I swear that bird REALLY understands what you say to it!! (so this bird may have heard it's owners talk about taking it to the VET and understood that and wanted nothing of it!!)
