I was on an old sailboat that was ancient and made of wood and all the ropes and a lot of other shit was made of wax and tarred hemp

one of the best smells ever

That sounds Amazing! Hemp rope is very resilient. What body of water were you sailing on?

it was a square rigger and we were pushing those things through some heavy waters

I was gifted some hemp bud recently from a local farmer/cultivator:

Needs to cure for an additional 2 weeks before it can be consmed (in my case, vaped).... The strain is called Cherry Wine and it was grown outdoors...

Giddyup! looks good, I see some frost damage turned it somewhat purple, nothing wrong with that! Flavour and aroma become more pronounced after a few weeks. Enjoy! Is it legit hemp or marijuana??

Yes we had a sudden cold spell where the temperatures dropped significantly one night... The farmer/grower told me that the buds were darkened from this... I think the plants were harvested at this point but I'm not sure where he was doing the curing/drying...

It should be considered 'hemp' because of the low THC content... The vast majority of the harvest has been turned into a crude full spectrum oil that is apparently going to be wholesaled to another business/manfucturer...

Here is another sample of hemp bud from another farmer/cultivator... This strain was just called 'Cherry' (not Cherry Wine)... This I was able to sample previously and it had a great taste and pleasant effects:

Nice, it is the first time I've heard of someone smoking (or vaping) legit hemp (other than George Washington). it has a pleasant effect you say? interesting, the buds look the same and I heard smell the same, would very much like to try some. growing CBD strains looks quite enjoyable. you are lucky to have friends who are hemp farmers!

I called cooperative extension early last year to see about getting a permit (required) to grow an acre or two as a test - for seed as the info on the website that was almost exclusively the market for small growers

The waiting list was 3 years long to get a permit

Maybe I'll try to do the application this winter and see what happens

I love hemp seeds in some yoghurt or granola

The idea behind allowing small growere to plant for seeds only, is to rapidly grow the crop production - there isn't enough seed for planting it said

All those other uses will be limited to BIG AGriculture Corporations - stock sold on the stock exchanges

Yes after vaping the bud in the 2nd photo it created an alert, focused, but mentally calm type effect... It was almost like you felt 'stoned' but you weren't impaired in any way... It was definitely unique, but enjoyable... I sampled it along with 5 of my coworkers and everyone reported the same positive experience - and that they would like to indulge again...

Not long ago I found out there is a business in Nevada who has a retail line of CBD stores, and they also ship CBD bud through their website (apparently in a fully legal manner)...

very nice, the effects sound awesome, for me as far as chronic goes micro dosing is the only way, can do a good day at the farm and still feel good at the end.

They are a spiritual plant too so giving them certain qualities using different loving techniques is key! Makes for a symphony in the mouth!

Are you in Colorado by chance? I know a guy working for a farm growing those strains there. Looks really good. CBD strains are really gentle and calming.
