Reminder to Everyone -- Drive by Reds are Abuse of the Karma System

It’s really ridiculous how they pick on you. I have been on GLP for at least ten years. I was on last as Curiosity Cat. Had some hard times not able to pay for my account. Lost my screen name and all my green karma. I started paying again when Trin needed the help and I was doing better financially.

Getting decent karma is impossible with these lefties haters.

I personally would like a different system of karma. Using it as a weapon is not a good thing.

Scrap the karma system and make the green bar for quality of posts...

Example:

5 star thread rating 24hrs after thread creation = 5 GREEN

4 star thread rating 24hrs after thread creation = 3 GREEN

3 star thread rating 24hrs after thread creation = 2 GREEN

2 star thread rating 24hrs after thread creation = 1 GREEN

1 star thread ratng 24hrs after thread creation = 5 RED

I can't even give 1 red vote to someone deserving, let alone weekly red spam.

I've been green vote only for years.

To me, ones real karma score is what they give, not what they get. And those red spammers got a LOT of red in their name.

I like GLP with all kinds of people, I always have. I find it much more interesting that way. I laugh more on here when we have posters such as you feel annoyed with.

That depends on the severity of the abuse.

Doxxing a member, threatening to murder a member/mod/owner is a one way trip to the Bunny Cave.

Lesser offenses will get a warning PM. How stern contingent on severity of the offense. Just don't re-offend.

Time for you to observe silence before you go too far.

Also, to reward people for responding add a ‘like’ button to responses and for every ‘like’ received the member gets 1/10 of a green!

Heck you could even charge people a fraction of green karma to give someone a ‘like’

That's a good position. We don't want the karma system to be like "likes" on fuckbook.

Typically, red means "you won i hate you!"


I give out greens for every clear or hopeful thing, but 2 or 3 times I have responded to a diatribe post by "- you lost. We are gonna get you all" - I have, but I had the ludicrous or clumsily venomous post to claim for myself. Also, I've only ever done it to ones that I was pretty sure did it as much as possible to others and like making some people as miserable as they can and think they sound "perfect!"....mostly I have affirmed and encouraged because that has power.

Yes, i am a "junkie" for not HATING kratom and I make a post that commies should be pulverized and finely ground and get "commie!" Lol!
But once I saw what it was, i look to see if anybody benefitted or after i have said "you aren't even embarassed to be 50 year old kindergarden?" to see if my prediction was right :)

I have seen a legit system. No anonymity. The person CAN respond right on it.

Haven't checked my karma in a while but just looked and someone called me a Nazi on October 10, lol. Another one just had to ding me because I posted a beautiful video about a deer and he had to let me know he was going hunting. *sigh*
