If anything bugs are dying from pesticides and chemical run-off. Your neighbor puts them in his lawn, the wind carries them to the next lawn.

This happens massively in farm land.

You can spray a wasp or bee with paint, WD-40, doesn't matter what it is they will die.

I get out in nature and travel a bit and I've been noticing the sharp decline in insects for years. Some places still tons of insects and other places are becoming almost barren of them. I would guess it will keep getting worse until even the places that still have insects start losing them.

Probably 99.99% of the insects but surely not the DAMN COCK ROACHES

Add to that fracking and the toxic run off of chemical companies into our water ways, and the nuclear radiation going into the oceans from all the nuclear disasters. It becomes a simple math equation to realize who and what your up against. Add to that all the methane our planet is kicking off all on its own. Some of it isn't man made. But should be an even bigger concern.

After all the global warming propaganda it is hard to believe anything.

We had lots of bugs this summer - flies, ants, wasps, mosquitos, etc.

The bugs not around humans - I don’t know.

In Sweden we do not use much pesticides. Mostly ecological farming and no GM-crops.

There are many bee farmers trying to increase the number of bees.

And many people are buying ”insect hotels” nowadays and hanging them in their gardens.

This has been us too. For the last 2 years we have had only about three or four bees that keep coming back everyday, but not many others. They seem to stay most of the day going back and forth and do a good job of covering the whole garden at least. We were really hoping to see more though. would love to keep bees if I could.

The Eco chain links are breaking. Our (human) reign will be a mere blink of an eye and we will be the first species that actually became extinct due to stupidity.

First amphibians started dying and few noticed.
Now insects seem to be dying next.

Yep, cell phone towers! There in the heart of GMO corn seed making in Waimia, Kauai a nice cliff sits along the river bank. No cell service but there are bee hives everywhere along the cliff wall.
