NC Band "Parmalee" donates all proceeds from new single to Hurricane Florence relief efforts
Country music band "Parmalee", from North Carolina, are using the release of their latest single to help with relief efforts for Hurricane Florence victims.

I applaud their decision, but would have liked to see them choose more than just the Red Cross as recipients.

Here's a list of the most highly rated organizations delivering Florence relief in the Carolinas, if anyone cares to make their own contribution.

BTW, the single 'Down Town' is good. Go buy it. I did.

5* for you, OP! Love our hometown band and love how they haven't forgotten their roots.

Reports are still coming in about how the most vulnerable in our society were treated during the storm:

Singletary said the director of the facility was nowhere to be found during Hurricane Florence. He says residents were without power for eight days and slipping and falling in the dark on the wet floors.

“She couldn’t be reached on the phone, and during the storm, she didn’t come out one time,” Singletary said.

The Red Cross' mission does not encompass these folks.
