While initially it freaks me out, I soon relax and enjoy watching the videos on a wide screen. But HOW is it happening. I have a Vizio TV in my bedroom. We have Direct TV. It was in that mode where the TV hasn't been on a station for a while so the screen just has Direct TV floating around on it. My iPhone accidentally got ran over several months ago. I don't use my phone a lot, as I prefer my Mac computer or iPad. So phone is just used for phone calls and texting. I don't email or anything on it. I do however use it to listen to youtube videos at night while I'm playing online euchre on my iPad. All of a sudden the video I'm watching is appearing on the TV. I have never connected any of our TV's to the internet. What frequency is this piggybacking on. When I replaced my iPhone, I bought a Android Motorola. This is my first question.. How is this happening. Just a few minutes ago my phone rang. It showed an incoming call from someone I frequently talk with. I SAW the name... when I answered it was a telemarketer. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN? Any help is greatly appreciated. As far as I know I don't use google chrome. It's like my vehicles. I know how to drive them but I couldn't tell you the mechanics of what makes them run. Chromecasting is a built in function for Android phones. It's a little rectangular button, usually up at the top corner every time you watch a YouTube video. If your phone and TV are connected to the same WiFi network it will be there. Even if you don't have WiFi as long as your phone is near the TV you can sometimes cast. I usually see multiple TV's that are left exposed and available for casting when walking through the store with my phone near the electronics department. |

You're probably hitting it without realizing it. If you're using android I can pretty much guarantee the button is there every time you watch a video on youtube.
