I donated to Kathleen Willeys plight to save her home along with I'm sure many other GLPers, why because we are a good group of people that care about our fellow man. Unfortunately I received unsolicited information in my GLP mailbox as to the possibilities that this indeed may not quite be on the up and up. Quote: Willey has two grown children, grandchildren, and sisters with families. Why aren't they helping her? Why didn't she save money when she was working or when she was married to wealthy men? I read that they went on expensive vacations to Europe. I guess I get angry when people don't think of saving. I read that she wears/wore beautiful clothes and expensive jewelry and then plays the victim and begs for money. I think you need to dig a little deeper. Her financial issues have been ongoing and now she’s at the end of the line. Just because she has grown kids doesn’t mean they’re in a position financially to be able to help her. How many of our kids are we actually helping even though they’re adults? I can’t assume that my family can bail me out. If you choose to not give to her fine. But this is a legitimate need. I don’t know if you know anything about a foreclosure and how that works but it takes years to get to the point where you are getting evicted and you’ve run out of options. So yes, she started looking for help in 2016 but now this is it either she gets what she needs her she’s homeless.

I understand completely about the foreclosure process, I have been very close to many foreclosure situations including my own and then assisting others in their process as I was able to get mine turned around. It was because of those reasons I donated. All I'm saying is the whole thing is too strange and I felt a heads up was needed. And yes, I know The Huff is a fake news site. But it's still a story, and her foreclosure is real. MrsTomatoHead
