Clear something up for me...

The balance has been unbalanced for so long it seems. I used to see those on here posting that their job was keeping the balance? Well, what fukin balance?

Celebrities (Glamour) are part of the problem. Look at them, worship them, be like them.

These celebrities then start believing they are some sort of gods...

Cough cough...Kayne, Jay Z, the list goes on...

You're not though...just deluded assholes....

Because they are a marketable product.

I dont watch much TV, I used to enjoy a night out at the movies, not so much now.
I'm not one who ever got into glamour, but yes, i see those that do. I would rather travel to sacred lands, be outdoors etc, but hell, that seems out of reach these days

Actors, musicians, athlete's, aand even politicians through underhanded influence, they dont get paid to do what they appear to do, they get paid to influence.

They are no different than salesman, except most salesman are push salesman instead of soft salesman.

The income is relative to the extent the industry is protected.

They are well paid and in the public eye merely to push a certain agenda. The best propagandists stay on top and make millions "entertaining" us.

I understand that, but the balance is off there. They don't deserve what they get. Even they know they don't deserve what they get.

Marketing or not, majority of that money should go to worthwhile causes to help the planet and humanity. I don't fucking see that happening...

Hopefully their fan clubs will just deminish...

They make a lot of money, but they make a lot more money for other people. (promoters, networks, advertisers etc..)

And once their public goes, they are dirt poor again.

Everything comes at a price - nothing is free.

Being rich and famous has a very expensive price tag.

High probability of giving in to temptations of every kind
High probability of being black mailed
high probability of depression and substance abuse
etc.. etc..

Being famous is a health hazard!

Never envy someone who has money because of fame!!!

I hear you loud and clear, but the free market lets it happen. People are worth what people are willing to pay. Half of me says no one deserves 100 million for a movie, or 60 million for a concert tour, or a 5 year 113 million contract to throw a football. The other half (for me its the music) says I'm sooooo glad someone saw $$$$ in some of these musicians. I LOVE classic rock and can't imagine not growing with rock and roll. I can't imagine not knowing Pink Floyd and Zeppelin music was out there because it wasn't financially viable to bring that music across the pond.

It's different now that producing music or even a movie for that matter doesn't require a crap ton of money any more. I have a studio in my house for less than 5K and can get my tunes out to the world with no problem. Well, let me take that back. Some problem. That problem is no one gives a crap about my music - ha ha ha. Somehow the high barriers to entry that there USED to be culled the herd and made people celebrities because promoters and labels needed to maximize the return in their investment. I guess that's why there's not a whole lotta Chinese and Russian classic rock that I know of. They weren't allowed to make money on it so no one took the chance

The left has changed the notion of hero worship from those that achieved great things, astronauts, explorers, scientists, mathematicians etc to worshiping a bunch of entertainers. Sadly they are some of the most dysfunctional people on the planet. But that is all by design

what some of the sports stars earn just make me puke, we live in a rotten society where money,fame and power is what drives people, it's disgusting.

not all musicians are in it for the money though, it's just a by product in a way, but I bet they don't mind.

Thinking that money can solve problems when there is no single problem that humanity faces as a result of a lack of money is part and parcel to the situation you're decrying.


Good causes are better funded by willing and able hearts and hands asking for nothing in return if you ask me.

I can agree with that Evolution :) I think sure get paid for your talent but damn those numbers? and if so you better share that money. Give back, the universe put you in a position to do so. But nope I'm not seeing that from these celebrities. Sure they donate but the majority are greedy motherfuckers. Makes me sad for the world. For the sheep who pay for this shit and perpetuate the imbalance further.

Because life sucks (and then you die). People don't want to just sit around and be miserable all the time. The distraction of music or sports or TV leads the mind away from the drudgery of daily life and the soul crushing misery of an existence that will only end when the heart stops beating. Entertainers that are proficient in their craft attract a following, and therefore become enriched.
