Quebec has long considered itself quasi-independent and have tried full blown independent several times in the past through referendums. They also require everyone speak French and all public facing test, like road signs, menus, advertisements, etc, much have a certain percentage be in French.

This is because all the migrants busting over our border from the US go in to Quebec. They get the majority of them.

Don't believe the fake news. Their fake polls said that the Liberals were neck and neck with the new party, Coalition Avenir Quebec CAQ, at 30% to 30%. The actual popular vote result was 38% to 24%. CAQ won 75 out of 125 seats.

This follows on the election of populist conservative Doug Ford, who the MSM tried to vilify as "the Canadian Trump", by a similar landslide in Ontario.

The two most populous provinces have gone Conservative. The next federal election is in 12 months.

Quebec is the 'spoilt child' and can get away with this. Alberta, on the other hand, gets shyte on. Why? Because daddy, or at least Turdeau Senior, didn't like Alberta so the legacy continues. Maybe PET didn't like their 'rugged appeal.'

And yes, the frogs like their french language, as in 'maudit englais.' Yep, they don't like the english from northeastern ontario.

This is another attempt at secularization and suppression of religious freedom. It is very concerning.

TROC, the rest of Canada, have had to tip-toe around Quebec and give in to every demand. What other country allows a separatist party be part of the government and paid for by tax payers? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that there are those that are willing to stand up to the invasion...forced on all of us. If Alberta did this - Ottawa and media would be: "Redneck Racists!"

The CAQ that got elected isn't separatist like the PQ (Parti québécois). It is officially a federalist party.

If you're a judge, you literally represent the authority of the State. The State isn't religious, so it makes sense in a way that judges can't wear hijabs or other religious symbols.

As for police officers and teachers, it's the same notion, maybe not to the same extent as a judge though.

I understood. I was referring to the years when Bloc Quebecois was the official Opposition Party in Ottawa.

What? That makes no sense. First off, what does it matter what judge wears on their head? They wear a robe out of tradition and to show respect for the office. Their education, oaths and judgements show how they represent the "state."


You don't realize how dangerous your position is. If the garb or symbols don't interfere with their ability to do the job well, leave it alone.
