I liked Mitchell immediately and could tell she had something up her sleeve, I just couldn't figure out what it was during the hearing and it was frustrating.

As it turns out, her plan was to prove that Ford can't even remember what happened weeks ago, so her 36 year old memories are not viable as evidence. I think that was a pretty smart move in this case and am surprised more people aren't talking about this particular detail.
