If true, someone was either threatened or promised protection/pardon if convicted (or both). Otherwise doesn't make sense why someone would admit this as there's apparently no statute of limitations in the state where this took place. There is nothing to get convicted for. Feeling boob, trying to get a girls clothes off... 35 years ago.  Feeling a woman's boob and grinding up against her while pinning her down against her will is considered assault. And this guy has apparently admitted to that or similar in writing. So, yes, if it's a Dem/Lib judge, and there's no statute of limitations, and there's a written confession, of course he could be convicted. Dems would push for it out of revenge.
