Someone installed or configured equipement to observe/listen to white sands. They removed equipement, threat gone. Now its finding out who as to why its still closed. Interviewing everyone and doing background checks on everyone until they find the person(s). Then, everyone that was up there will be signing non-disclosure agreements. Once everyone has signed them, facility will reopen with no reason given or update other than threat has be removed, all clear.

I did see on one thread someone found the funding for this observatory, and it just ended. Might have something to do with it also? They said it was about 'new' investors for the site, so maybe being ex-military site, and proximity to bases, and specific capabilities, FBI had to give it a once over?

DrAstro also caught something on a vid where an Xfiles dvd cover was left on a bin inside the complex. A call for help? or someone with a good sense of humour?

It's a pity the folks living on the hill and the little shop and post office are caught up in this 'evacuation' though. That really isnt fair, especially if their stuff gets taken.

Agreed with private security, but private security used at Area 51 and rent a cops here are 2 different things.

New details (and questions):

Questions:

1. Fire Chief (volunteer) is whom the "credible threat" comment came from. States FBI told him.
A. Why was the Fire Chief there and why are we just now hearing about it?

2. The property manager (commercial property management company) went into the USPS and asked the USPS employee to leave.
A. Why was the property manager there and why now are we hearing this?
B. Since when does a property manager have the authority to close a USPS office?
C. Did property manager call USPS to get authorization and if so why wouldnt the USPS just call their employee and tell them to leave?
D. Why was it not the FBI, Sheriff, USPS, or even this new Fire Chief guy that told the USPS to leave?

New detail, Sgt. Jon Emery (Sheriff's office) States the FBI "took" something.

"“The FBI has not contacted us. We don't know what they took, what their reason for being there was. We have no information on it," said Sgt. Jon Emery of the Otero County Sheriff’s Office."

Are supernovas known to be preceded by a burst of detectable radio frequencies, as was detected by SETI, earlier this month?

This explanation has been debunked. The solar satellite's orbit is behind the Earth and behind the Moon as it faces the Sun. So the Moon which is smaller transits pasts and the Earth which is larger also transits pass, both in front of the satellite, while the Sun is beyond the Earth and Moon.

Are they using the script from Close Encounters?
