Quoting: Roobit Ive been waiting and thinking the last month that I didnt get it. Well... Hr called me at home to offer the job about 30 minutes ago!!!! Fuck yeah, fuck yeah!!!! Excuse my excitement. What kinda machines? Engineer/Programmer here. Ive been running Okuma mills and lathes with some HAAS cnc grinders and Citizen lathes when needed. We have loads more just on this campus. The other has lots of brand new stuff. Its gonna be bad ass. Nice range of skills... especially if the Citizens are Swiss lathes. I design a lot of custom tooling for Swiss & conventional lathes among many other things. Was a Toolmaker/Diemaker way back in the day. Last Edited by #521 on 08/31/2018 03:50 PM |

Self taught and now I am the go to guy on 2nds for them. Something fun about setting up a long as part on a sliding headstock lathe and getting all the regrips just right. Satisfaction! Hell yeah. Apparently I'll get to design fixtures for new parts and also be looking at improving other processes. The Abyss stares back... Glp ping pong champ... |

User ID: 8640508 United States 08/31/2018 04:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Congratulations! I started as a CNC Programmer and CAD Technician where I currently work. It's a fun job. I've since moved up in the company but sometimes I miss those days. Its always exciting to watch your 3D drawings turn into real objects that you can touch and hold. Plus, it's fun just running the machines. I was just at IWF in Atlanta last week and you should fucking see some of the new CNCs coming out. As usual, Biesse stole the show. |

I prototyped new products, programmed, made fixtures, wrote up work instructions and did a lot of process engineering work. Best "Working for the Man" job I ever had. Now I have my own small machine shop on my acreage. Congrats on the job. |
