Hi GLP family! I'm back and so very grateful to be here!

Honestly Cookie, I have no clue what subjects I would discuss on a thread. I promised I wouldn't talk about Planet X so that is off the board. I hate discussing politics because it divides people like knives. I need some ideas!

In my personal life, I tend to watch things about celebrities. When a TV series gets cancelled and there is someone that had to suffer because of it, I get enraged. Two examples: Kevin Can Wait: They fired the first wife right after the first season and brought in Leah Remini because she came on as a guest on the last two episodes and their ratings skyrocketed. The first wife Erinn Hayes was treated horribly and all of the fans stood up and spoke their minds but it didn't do any good. I swore the show would only make one more season and I was right!....

Then on Lethal Weapon, Damon Wayans didn't like the fact that Clayne Crawford was getting all of the fans, so he got his toddler panties on and acted like a spoiled child and spoke horrible things against him so that Clayne would be fired and it worked. The fans and I were enraged. They replaced Clayne with a new guy and you mark my word, that show will only make it one more season!

Then we all know what happened to Roseanne. They think the show can continue to be a success without her. Nothing could be further from the truth. NO fans will be watching except for the first show to see how they killed her off.
This show won't make it but one season as well.

That's about as 'involved' in things as I get. I know what is going on in the political arena and with QAnon but I just leave all of that alone. I don't want to worry about where the future is going to take us. I turn 60 on the 1st and I'm old now. I try to stay as peaceful as I can most of the time. The rest of the time I have to try to keep my husband peaceful because he gets all into the political arena and it drives him nuts.

So if someone can give me a subject to start a thread on, I'd love to hear your ideas! I'm ready for some good discussions!

A caption contest for a free upgrade would be very cool
about now...I would give a 1 month free membership for
September if you wish to run one...They are really fun
to run with the minor problem that you really need to
monitor the thread until the contest is over so the
trolls don't derail it. But other than that--just pick your
picture, ask for captions and you are off and running.
Didn't you do that with me one time years back? I can't
recall.

Trinity has been requesting that we upgrade folks right
now in support of the Forum, too, so it is a great time
for one. (I haven't seen a contest for at least a month
--tho I know lots of folks are upgrading A.C.s, but not
with a contest.) Seeing people being creative and happy
about a free "something" always cheers me up! lol.

I do remember! When I first came here back in the 90s I would put up all kinds of threads about Jesus and I tried very hard to be thick skinned when I was attacked for posting things. I'm not a religious person, but I do have a very personal relationwhip with God, whom I call 'Dad'. I try to not say anything offensive to anyone anymore and I try to be a peacekeeper. I would like to start discussions with people on topics of interest that aren't offensive but helpful. I just need suggestions!

Oh yes. That person is a waste of air. He actually was extremely rude to me not even a half hour after posting about losing my 17-year-old cat just 2 weeks ago. He is the first person ever to get 2 reds from me, which says a whole lot considering that I have only given 5 in my 5 whole years here and only the 2nd person ever to have been banned from posting on my threads.

Ah yes, the other problem troll who likes to be cruel to people that are mourning their lost pets that I've encountered in recent weeks. Should have known you would show up in here and start trouble. By the way, I will be correcting that accidental green you got from me x 2 in the coming weeks!
