This is complete BS. When ESB was released theY also released a narrative record with all the dialogue and I used to listen to that record so much that decades later I can still word for word repeat the dialogue in that whole movie... and it's always been "NO, I AM YOUR FATHER."

Darth Vader: "Obi-Wan never told you what happened to your father?"

Luke: "He told me enough! He told me YOU killed him."

Darth Vader: "NO. I am your father."

Luke: "No. That's not true! That's impossible!"

Darth Vader: "Search your feelings! You know it to be true."

Luke: "Noooooooooo!"

I have my own theory on this:

So many people have uploaded their brains to the internet that when the earth was wiped out 1000's of years ago, a race of beings were able to clone us, and from our online activity were able to give us just enough memory to work 40 hours a week but not enough intelligence to spot the glitches in the matrix.

A few have situational awareness in their implanted artificial memory but not enough to raise a blip on a radar screen.

You can CLEARLY see how it is visually edited at around 10.5 seconds to move Vader's head to allow for the spliced "Luke" audio. The "Luke" audio was spliced from a couple sentences before the dialogue in the video you posted begins...

The "Luke" in the video you posted in OP is the "Luke" @ 1:17 in this video:


It simple terms "Luke" was simply copied & pasted over the "No" part...

"Luke I am your father" doesn't even make sense in the context of the conversation.

I don't recall the original, but on that vid I can hear the background change when Darth says "Luke", does sound like an edit.

OP with a good wave editor and some serious bandwidth filters you could make it far more convincing.

I didn't know this was even a thing. I've always known it as Luke, I am your father.


I had a buddy Luke, In high school. I probably said to him a 100 times that line. Luke I am your father in a deep voice.

It would of made zero sense if the real movie line was NO, I am your Father.

WTF?? Where is the video showing he says No instead of Luke.

You're right, it does sound like the same Luke. But nothing was spliced, copied, nor pasted, no editing

Make a video of yourself putting the tape in the machine, and playing the segment. Be sure to have some background noise present for audio verification.

You cannot fake audio endpoints, it will always be detectable.

There's an illustrated book out there from the 1980s that says "Luke".

It was in one of the original videos/social media posts on this topic.

All of the dialogue is in written form.

For what it is worth I loved SW as a kid and I have never not known it to be any other way.

You can check the original, copyrighted screenplay of the movie. It is "No. I am your father". But there's something fishy going on. If I had to guess, AI has already taken over the internet and is messing with more and more information stored online. When some of us stumble upon a thing that we remember differently in a real life, confusion happens.

More and more Beatles videos have substitutes singing on them.

It is clearly not John James George or Ringo singing on many of them.
