Once again, because YOU have not experienced a thing, does not mean that the thing does not exist. God and Jesus do surely exist. I have experienced them and you can to. Jesus himself said that if you do as he says, he will manifest himself to you. So do as he says, there is nothing that he said to do that would hurt you or anyone else. I do not know anyone who is, and I certainly am not, devoted to a religion. I am devoted to God. It is relationship, not religion. As for needing to detach from the world around me, or needing to engage in a fantasy (not your words, but your intent), you are presumptuous.
