Hope that is all, im only about 3 minutes outside the city. It doesn't clarify which area of my county this will take place. I'm assuming near or in the city though, maybe even both. I'll try & get some footage whenever I know the locations... It is the final phase of the Special Forces Qualification Course. One primary purpose of Special Forces is to train foreign troops allied to US interests, to make them more effective. Many of these are insurgent groups. In the exercise, a team of Special Forces trainees parachute into the countryside of Pineland, more familiar to most as North Carolina. There, the SF team attempts to train the not necessarily cooperative elements of the Army of Free Pineland. The SF team then leads the Pinelanders in various small unit engagements such as raids, and ambushes. I've been through a Robin Sage exercise. The participants are far too busy making sure they complete the last stage of the Q course to cause anyone any problems. The countryside of Western NC is not exactly a good target for anyone, as it has few "high value" targets (not a knock on the area, it's great. I'd seriously consider retiring there). It is also bristling with well armed Patriots, a large number who have helped with Robin Sage exercises for about the last fifty years. I'd almost like to see someone try something stupid there. It would be a grin to watch those good ol' boys kick their asses and send the guilty to the hog pen for elimination, in more ways than one...
