 Without having YET checked the link, my understanding is both names are an acceptable identifiers for the Word of God, among others. I am fine with the change of text to indicate your preference, because it still identifies the same "Entity" to me.
For me the names are interchangeable and equally acceptable. For me to argue about the origination or semantics of a name is to miss seeing the forest through the trees. IMO. 
As for The Spirit being Truth, here is the single post with scripture I dropped in one of my own threads, briefly addressing it.

Remember, the Hebrew alphabet original had 22 characters, not 26.   I KNOW that those two don't equate!! I would never confuse the two, but if you want to get right down to it, Scripture says that the following. Revelation 19 11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
