Are you saying that Jesus himself is the comforter?

It's the spirit of Christ, which makes us Sons of God and members of God's family. Please correct me if I'm wrong, mrlol . You worded it fine. It is the Fathers Spirit which He gave to His Son, who in turn gives it to us. John 4:24 - "God is a Spirit" As you posted from Galatians in the op "Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit draws us to the Father. And if we reject the Spirit calling us to the Father, then you have this warning... Matthew 12:31-32 31. Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. 32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
