Yeah, that definitely does defy common sense.

Are you the person who told me about the trinity?
 Quoting: Photina

No, that was the bible.

I only reminded you what the bible said.
 Quoting: MrIol

And you will be the first one I seek out when I can finally meet the rest of the saints.

Thank you for looking out for me.
 Quoting: Photina

*the actual meaning of Genesis 6:4 being, the sons of God (followers of the Creator from Adams line) and the daughters of men (followers and offspring of Cain).
 Quoting: MrIol

That's my understanding as well. I read P&P too.
Many years you bore with them and warned them by your Spirit through your prophets. Yet they would not give ear. Therefore you gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands. You gave your good Spirit to instruct them and did not withhold your manna from their mouth and gave them water for their thirst. Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you and cast your law behind their back and killed your prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to you, and they committed great blasphemies.

There is some truth in the apocrypha books no doubt.

Just as the talmud has slivers of truth. But the talmud also said the rape of gentile children over the age of 3 is acceptable and Jesus is burning in a pile of excrement in hell.

So. A gold plated poo, is still poo underneath.

God searches the heart. Just like the time of Sodom and Gomorrah immediately preceding their destruction (when only Lot was elect), God will bring worldly judgment when no honest heart remains that will convert, save the elect. I personally feel the time is very short, because most are hopelessly lost today.

You will NOT be "deemed worthy" is you are not constantly seeking and praising God; emulating Christ. The standard is extremely high, as Ezra also states......"one tree in a forest".

Single and verrrrrrrry happy HFHF I've no intentions of getting into another relationship. My family and friends think I'm crazy for wanting to stay single cos they think I'm too young to be so. But I'm happier this way.

More then half the scrolls found have nothing to do with the bible at all.

But they should still be included because they were found with biblical scrolls? Is the bible missing its recipe section also?

Said earlier in the thread there were "tall" people in the antediluvian world. 10, 15 foot tall even. Maybe someone even broke the 20 foot mark on occasion. Just as your picture shows.

But not 300 cubits (450 feet) tall as the book of enoch claims.

Thats only one "issue" with that book. But its one of the more glaring ones.

The Essene peoples were never lonely for long, and even then, the mushroom can reduce you to a child-like state, where just a few good friends will have you forgetting about sex. But in the Essenes world, everything is right. And that's why knowledge of their existence has been scrubbed from the internet. Jesus is in the shrooms dude, judge between the tunes, sidewalk, grass, where you gonna laugh?

I never used to get lonely, but life has a funny way of making you look at things differently over time. Now the possibility of being with another person and sharing our lives together, haunts me often. I know it's mostly my own fault for being alone, as I withdrew from the world and I have a difficult task relearning my neglected social skills. But at least I have hope now that I can be happy sharing my life and experiences with another person.

And I have to admit it's been kind of fun being a little flirty lately, even if I'm not very good at it yet. I know I'll get better and maybe I'll get lucky and find someone to grow old with. And I'll keep trying until I do this time.

You know I'm not really sure if I do or not, I just haven't read enough about it to form an opinion yet I guess. As I guy I think I lean more towards the practical side of things and just try to live a good life similar to how Jesus would.

So you think it's a false image? Why is that?

Re: Any lonely Christian singles out there?
I wouldn’t call myself lonely. I’m open to companionship for sure. Since we are in end times, I am not putting importance on a relationship.

Are you a Christian?
 Quoting: Photina

Ya, raised Catholic but I don't practice as much as I should, I do try to follow Jesus's examples. I just don't get to church very much, but still try to remain very close to God.
 Quoting: Surfer 7

I was raised Catholic too. You believe in the trinity? That's a false image of the true God.
 Quoting: Photina

You know I'm not really sure if I do or not, I just haven't read enough about it to form an opinion yet I guess. As I guy I think I lean more towards the practical side of things and just try to live a good life similar to how Jesus would.

So you think it's a false image? Why is that?
 Quoting: Surfer 7

The Bible was written by and for monotheists. It's not a trinitarian book.

Jesus was a Jew and didn't worship a triune god.

God is the Father alone. Jesus is Messiah/Christ.

1st Timothy 4:7 - But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
 Quoting: MrIol

cool2

What about 2 Baruch? Or Barnabas? I've been reading those.
 Quoting: Photina

The gospel of Barnabas that speaks of Mohammad (who wasnt even born until 600 years after Jesus?

That one?
 Quoting: MrIol

No, the epistle.
 Quoting: Photina

Its a whole lot better then the "gospel" one lol.

Isaiah 8:20 - To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Truth is found in many places. I hope you find as much as you can. :)

Suit yourself.
 Quoting: Photina

Lets hope you dont let your standards slip so far where you promote the book of "enoch"

Unless you really believe 400 foot humans used to be here.

Slippery slope hun. Once you start sliding, its hard to stop.

*or maybe the book of Nicodemus that sais you have to make the sign of the cross to enter the city in heaven every time.
 Quoting: MrIol

Enoch was favorable in Gods eyes and the giants have been unearthed to prove they existed.
