Fast as hell this little dude is. Eyeball where it is and then block out the light coming in from the windows. Or, if it's night-time, turn the lights off. When it's dark, the birds will stay calm and are less likely to fly away when you approach them. You can use a red filter over a flash-light beam to shine a light directly on it, or just remember where it is once the lights are off and pick it up in the dark. |

As far as superstition I read on Reference .com that it is a sign that the inhabitants of the home will shortly receive an important message.
