The thing that made this country great were the immigrants (probably your ancestors) that came here to work and build a new life and some security for themselves and their families.

Our nation has become a nation that has forgotten their roots, we suddenly are all too anxious to deny others the opportunity most of forefathers sought and achieved here in this new world. It seems finally we've decided our cash and our taxes and vastly more important than human compassion, decency, ethics, etc.

We venerate the rich, no matter how unethically they got that way. NO matter how stupid their opinions and thoughts! We listen to their opinions first, and even opinions of mere actors who - perhaps because of youth or beauty, have become rich. While some have talent, very few really do, as any few trips to a local cinema will attest!

Today we lie, cheat, steal, and those who do it best without getting caught, are praised and respected, vs being imprisoned where they most likely belong -- if the truth were ever to be exposed.

There were men, sometimes very rich men, who were raised with the belief that "where much was given, much was expected!" They gave back with their time in pubic office - when they had huge trust funds that could easily have enabled them to live a life of sheer leisure, if they chose to do so. But they didn't choose that route. Those men wanted their lives to mean something. They wanted to make a difference and make our nation a better place for ALL THE PEOPLE. Not just their own social and economic group.

Those men often paid with their lives, and even the lives of their children in one case. Yes, I'm talking about Franklin D Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and a few others.

Where are those men today? Men who were educated, high minded, genteel, ethical men. Men who were gentle in their speech, could communicate without 'tweeting' vile names at those they disagreed with, and men who were willing to give up their wealth, their time, their privileged position in society to serve the people of the USA. Where are those men and women who are educated, honest (or rich enough that they wouldn't think of stealing to acquire more wealth - maybe because they simply didn't need it)or perhaps, hopefully, because they were truly decent and ethical and they believed that stealing was wrong.

It seems we have a real absence of such men today.

When a young congressman or senator gets to Washington - especially if they do not come from a wealthy family and background, the first time some lobbyist 'accidentally" leaves a paper bag in their office with $200,000 in it - all in unmarked hundreds of course - and once they take that first payment or fail to report it as a lost bag of cash, they're owned. Period. They'll be well paid for their service to their financial masters, but you can bet that they are owned hook, line, and sinker as the fishermen say.

What about the young woman who got to Washington DC, first to the house and later to the senate? She was sent there from her very poor home district. Her husband had a business that was struggling and about to go under, taking their personal assets down the drain with it. Then one day his firm is asked to bid on a HUGE government contract. They don't have the resources to complete the contract, but they bid on it anyway. Suddenly bank credit lines, private investors, etc., come out of the woodwork and give her husbands business huge amounts of cash. He 'wins' the bid and because of their mysterious 'investors' and their various banks, he completes the contract and makes several million in a few years. The lady Senator is then quietly told that her husband has been bought and paid for. She can vote the way they tell her to in the Senate on certain bills, or his investors and bank lines (which he never could have qualified for on his own) will be exposed. They could well both go to prison. So she agrees.

For her next 30 years in the Senate - because she's decent and an honest woman in her heart - she votes as she's instructed to vote on certain key legislation that benefits whoever set the whole thing up all those years ago.

Yes, I know the woman I speak of. I've known her and her husband (before his passing) for nearly 50 years now. She retired a few years back, and he long ago sold his very lucrative business. But she's forever scared by what they agreed to do, and what they did. Her days now are spent in fund raising, and going to church daily praying for God's forgiveness. She's nearly at the end of her life and most of her 150 - 300 million (estimated) net worth will go to various churches and charities when she's gone.

She's written a book detailing her past 'voting as she was told" and how and why she did it. But the same people who funded her husbands business so long ago explained to her that should she publish that book, either before or after her death, her grandchildren and/or her children might meet with certain horrible accidents. So the book was scrapped. But a few close friends read it as a manuscript and now know the truth.

The strangest thing of all is that the former and now retired Senator does not know the real identity of her long ago financial 'benefactors'. They worked thru a serious of lobbyists and attorneys, most of whom are now dead. However, even 10 - 20 years ago, when her husbands company bid on a government project that was worth several billion dollars, the company magically had the cash, resources, and credit lines needed to bid in that rarified level, and they finished the contract, collected not only the billions budgeted, but cost over-runs and such that brought in yet another 3-4 billion (yes, with a B) dollars. While she 'thinks' she knows who her controllers were, she's never had enough evidence to be absolutely certain or prove same in a court of law.

This is what our lawmakers and representatives in Washington DC face today. Even the most well-intentioned and ethical, decent men and women can be compromised one way or another. And almost 100 percent of them are. The few that cannot be bribed or controlled find themselves without party support (either party) and they soon cannot get re-elected to a 2nd or 3rd term.

The schemes and payoffs are not unique to either party. And both parties have knowingly funded the election of several totally unqualified candidates to both the senate and the house over the past 20 - 30 years.

IT's not the Democratic Party, nor the Republican party that is a threat to our freedom today. I believe it is the mega national corporations that are so large they operate outside our national boundaries and outside national and international law. They do as they please, bribing, extorting, threatening our pubic officials at every level.

Before you call either party a "communists and fascist pigs" as you have done in your post, perhaps you need to open your eyes to what's REALLY going on - and it far exceeds the wealth of our President, and the combined wealth and power of most presidents before him. These huge, multi-national corporations must be controlled and reeled in. The corruption and payoffs must be stopped (if indeed they can be) and these huge self-serving corporate entities must be taxed and legislated into being decent corporate citizens, or legislated out of existence. We have the power and the laws to do so. And we have the resources of the FBI, CIA, DOJ, and Homeland Security to investigate, and PROVE that these evil self-serving entities have been systematically buying our leaders and law makers for at least the past 50 years.

It's not that these multi-national corporate entities have amassed great wealth.The problem is what they're doing with it and the illegal use of it that is ruining this and other countries all over the globe. I wish the USA well if they try to stop this massive corruption. Many will probably be killed in the process. I won't live to see the end of it. But my children and my grandchildren might.

However we must make a beginning and it's not about building walls, boarders, or stopping immigration. It's about finding out who's bribing our highest elected and appointed officials from cities, states, and at the national level, and then putting a stop to it, one way or another.

Mr. Trump, and his supporters - this is how you must try to Make America Great Again. Nothing less will accomplish your goals. No matter how good our economy becomes, if these greedy, self-serving bastards are allowed to continue buying our officials one way or another, we will loose in the end and America will become the mere tool of these trillion and multi-billion dollar companies and nothing less.

Good Luck if you dare to try to stop this massive corruption. The 'deep state' Trump has so often referred to is merely the tip of the iceberg in DC. The real corruption goes MUCH MUCH deeper. But maybe if someone writes about them and how they accomplish their nefarious and self-serving goals, perhaps there will remain a small chance that they can be stopped.
