If a conservative owner of a restaurant had pulled this stunt on a liberal, such as if Valerie Jarrett had showed up and been refused service, I'd have a tough time sympathizing with him.

Exactly. The bakers didn't ask them to leave. They told them they can purchase anything in the shop, but they were, based on religious reasons, refusing to bake a gay wedding cake with probably a him and a him on it.

Lexington, VA is home to Washington & Lee University and Virginia Military Institute. Both schools have a deep history, strong and active alumni, student body and families who will not patronize thr Red Hen during their visits to Lexington. Washington & Lee is known as one of the most conservative leaning universities. The W&L historic Mock Convention accurately picked Trump to win in 2016.

Lexington is a beautiful small town with very nice people. Tons of giant Trump signs painted on barns while driving through that area. The owner of the Red Hen is a liberal transplant from NYC. Doubt this restaurant will be open by the end of the summer.
