Political correctness killed comedy. I can think of lots of things that wouldn't be allowed today that were on tv in the 70s. There was a job interview skit with Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor on SNL that would get the network shut down today.

- gilligan would be bisexual.
- the professor would be flaming gay.
- ginger would be a tranny.
- mary ann would be an obese sjw with anger issues.
- the rich couple would be black elites, great humanitarians and always right about every subject matter.
- the skipper would be the only normal guy on the island and for that, he would be mercilessly persecuted by the others for being white and worthless.

"People" are elementary school minded goats. They auto parrot, bleating the correct response of the fashion day for social approval.

Practically speaking, outside of safe snowflake space, nobody thinks any more or different of them since they did 150 years ago and they aren't any different either, just functionally worthless and insane like most modern artificials. They are what they ate, still just made out of shank meat.
