Same here. Mine is a result of frequent "spankings" as a child. Made me very rebellious, and leery of "authority" figures.

Why did you put "spankings" in quotation marks?

Did those "spankings" involve something more than spanking?

Nobody can have authority over anyone else.
It's all just a load of bullshit and an illusion to keep people in check.
The sheep need it and actually love that there is something'bigger' or 'better' than them.
Looking up to ANYONE is just ridiculous.
We're all born and we ALL die...
So, now who is above who?
Stupid game for fuckwits.

Okay.

Today's authority is way over the top bordering on rediculous.

2.5 million laws and counting but ignorance is no excuse they say.

Show me one lawyer that can practice all areas.

Re: I’ve always had a problem with authority.
Did you realize that many people with authority issues are sociopaths? And since that happens, they learn to control it and then become authority figures?

It's true. That's why some aholes are in leadership positions and are awful folks.

Most people who meet a genuine worthy leader have no problems taking their command. What they hate is a stupid leader who abuses their workers and makes dumb decisions.

Command is a rough thankless job. Half of it is taking stupid orders from above. You cannot assume the leader has autonomy. They generally are just like you but don't reveal how disgusted they are with leadership. That would cause total anarchy.

Because you would be surrendering your rights to man.

Allowing another man to dictate your life's purpose and direction.

It's natural to rebel against such and should be rebelled against as long it does no harm to others.

Re: I’ve always had a problem with authority.
What is the difference between a warrior and a soldier?
The latter is under the authority of his commander.
The former is a rogue who has ability but relies upon himself.

A Christian is under authority of Jesus first, and parents, and his pastor, and then acts in accordance with the responsibilities assigned by his Sovereign who is YHWH.

A Christian without someone to serve is not a Christian.
