LEBANON JUNCTION, KY (WAVE) - Charlee Campbell, 2, and her dog Penny are now getting to spend some time with family after going missing in Lebanon Junction for nearly two days and emerging from the woods. Despite Charlee's safe return, the Bullitt County Sheriff's office was out searching for more answers on Saturday. That after an emotional reunion -- which some thought would never happen -- the night before, when Charlee's grandfather ran to greet her with a stuffed animal at the BCSO, seeing her for the first time alive since her disappearance. Sheba and I were attacked by loose dogs over the years, several times. The worse was when a Boxer/Great Dane got her. She was severely injured, and the Bichon Frieze that was accompanying us on our walk that day was bitten too when he tried to protect Sheba. It doesn't matter what breed a dog is. If it attacks, it needs to go. Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow !!! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76658730 I got bit by a dog when I was a kid. A neighbors black poodle bit me on my left hand. You can still see where his teeth went in.The scars are still there. My oldest was bitten by a Chow on her face when she was 2 years old. All she did was walk past the dog, and it turned and bit her. They are the most numerous breed in the shelters. I bet when the lethal or severe attacks are figured, the pit or pit mix will be on the top. |

However, dog bite statistics are misleading. A bite on the ass or hand is much different than a full blown attack, and I would be willing to bet they are all classified the same. Pits are very powerful dogs, I believe they have the strongest bite of any dog in terms of lbs per square inch. So given the same amount of "attack" time they can inflict significantly more damage.
