For those who looked forward to Saturday nights on AM640 Toronto, to hear the wisdom of the Spaceman, such sad news has come down...Space is finally "out".

Space passed June 3 of cancer after a very short battle.

Man-o-man, Space...you will be very much missed. The world has lost a shining light of truth.

That's too bad.
He mentioned me several times on his show over the years, when I would write in and ask a profound question about the illuminazi$. Wow, sad now. Why are all the good ones dying?

Bad time to be a conspiracy radio host with the name Bell!

Both deaths suck big time. The voices of truth are being eliminated. I hope him and Art are hosting a show together on the other side.

they used to have archives of his shows online. I wonder if they are still available. He would call me "Bar Code Man" because my old email address, since 1997, was a series of 1's & I's & l's. I used to use it to address people anonymously in the 1990's! Life was so much more simple then.

Well, if you ever listen to his archived shows, I was Bar Code Man.

That link has this, for any others who do not know who he was (like most of us, I guess, until now, other than his name)
"The post comes from Spaceman's friend, Trish McNorgan:
Gary was a very dear friend of mine since we met and worked together in Regina in 1973. Yesterday afternoon, I spoke with his wife of 47 years who passed on the tragic news. Gary did not want an obituary or a service. He remained a humble and simple man to the end. Thankfully he did not suffer long. By the time he had the cancer operated on, they found it had traveled to his other organs. Four weeks ago, he was still riding his beloved motorcycle. I loved him like a brother and take this loss as family. Please do not obsess with conspiracy theories; this is reality. You will not see any official notice. That was as he wanted it. Gary was 69 years old. We will not see the like of him again. A very sad and hard time indeed. - Trish McNorgan"

Can't believe it. I went to school for years in Cleveland and used to pick up the broadcast over the lake. The signal cam in clear in the evenings. Space helped me through many late nights of studying. Will have to dig into the archives and listen to some old shows.

Thanks for the links and the news. Also from that page:

I have some very sad news. Gary ‘Spaceman’ Bell has passed away from cancer. Apparently it was very quick. I have no other details other than Space passed on June 3rd. I was notified by a former colleague and confirmed it as well. It is on Twitter as well. This is not a joke or a bad trick or any such thing.

I worked with Spaceman for 6.5 years at Corus. He was one of the sweetest, nicest human beings I have ever met. He was strange too, as I’m sure you guys would expect. He was a brilliant storyteller, a generous and warm man. And that voice - it was a gift. When I left there, I missed him so much. I listened to the show all the time.

Tonight I’m going to listen to October 29th, 2011. For me, that show on Samhain and The Vision and Scarlett Witch and the number 42 is Spaceman’s Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart’s Club Band.

Rest In Peace, Spaceman. I’ll miss you.

Thanks. Maybe you can post some of his shows on ewe.toob? and then post 'em here? I used to record some of his shows on old dvd-r's, then Art Bell, Snooory after. Now I'm really missing his shows. I stopped listening after i temporarily used to listen to coast to coast podcasts & didn't need to stream the show off of am 640 Toronto anymore. I lost track of Gary Bell's show, sadly.

Anyone have any links to his shows?

Please post them, they are worth the listen. He was like Art Bell on steroids, to cite 90's/00's colloquial parlance, lol

I get "Sorry, there was a problem loading the video" and each file seems empty. Thanks for the heads up. Will try on another comp. later on. It will be interesting if I could find some of his quotes of my emails to him. I still can't believe he's gone. GREAT conspiracy show! GLP'ers unfamiliar with Spaceman should listen to those shows, if they work for them (the links).

Thanks for the heads up

Wow. This hurts to hear. What a great guy. Great producer. Great host. Great storyteller. Such a great man. I was honoured to be the first producer of "A View from Space" on Talk640, just before the launch of Mojo Radio. He started out with a weekend night call in show with John Bordignon. And when the phone didn't ring, he was the first guy to let me on air in Toronto. We had some fun. And when it became AVFS that everyone came to know...I don't think he let me do a thing! Haha. I mean the road map he'd lay out for me on paper in front of the board did it all! But I was all too happy to just sit there and listen to his story telling. The first episodes were about the first walk on the moon hoax, and John Lennons death really being a war on drugs by the CIA. Believe it or not...he would always put out a pretty compelling opinion!
And I LOVED being CBS! HAHA. I didn't even know there was a famous acronym for that! My first time ever in the kitchen as, at the time, Music Director Jeff Woods intern at Yonge and Finch, he cornered me to tell me about what REALLY happened with JFK Jrs plane. I'll never forget that. (And all the pitying looks from the passerby)
NOT to mention a great baseball player too! I used to meet up with him out by his place in the West end. He'd play ball with all the local kids, give them advice, cheer them on. Hed have me over to his place after for hot dogs and beer too. Id been in the Spacemans kitchen! I even met Mrs Space! Yes! I know, right!? We'd talk baseball, radio, and motorcycles. No conspiracies. Yes! I know, right!?
I still remember when he rode his sport bike to AM640 in a blizzard! "Its cause I come from Saskatchewan Jeffy" was his reason.
So eccentric, so genuine, so interesting, so helpful, so honest, so awesome.
RIP Space. Enjoy the View!

Well, there's 14 years worth of shows on that link I posted up. It's like getting 14 years worth of new ART BELL shows, the two of them were very similar but Gary even more eccentric in his mannerisms and surprises for the shows he did, every Saturday evening prior to Coast To Coast A.M., and from Toronto, Canada. Pick ANY show and it's guaranteed to be chock full of conspiracies, both proven and unproven. You'll like it. For my fellow GLPers who LOVE CONSPIRACIES, check out some of those show, you'll be real glad you did.

Man.... how did I miss this?

What a bummer. I can say, at least he didn't suffer long for the love of God.

I listened to this man for years before finally stopping somewhere in 2013 or so. The last few days, I started to think about the situation that we are in with the world, and thought of the Spaceman. So, I went back and listened to his final show to understand why he was banned from the radio.... And I suggest you ALL listen to it if you've missed it. It was pretty obvious how it connected to everything going on today. He was obviously too close to the truth.

May this man that enlightened all of us, Rest In Peace.

If you really want to understand the elite, and why they do the things they do, listen to his podcasts from the years past... he laid it all out of us. He may not have been always right but, he was right more than he was wrong.
