British Empire: how big was it and why did it collapse?
At its peak, the British Empire was the largest the world has ever seen, and its legacy can still be felt keenly today, for better or worse.

The territories it controlled ranged from tiny islands to vast segments of the world's major continents.

As the National Archives writes, the history of the British Empire is “both a British story and a world story”. But how did this vast empire rise and fall?

How did the empire come about?

The British began to establish overseas colonies in the Americas in the 16th century, writes the BBC, but it wasn't until the 18th century that its expansion really accelerated

They fail to mention that USA came into the war after Britain was mostly destroyed, along with Germany and collected all the pieces without opposition.

They became liberalised and basically gave all their territories away.

We've seen how that'll end - giving your own countries away to savages.

There was a war going on in the Pacific too you know. Over 400,000 Americans died in WWII. Hardly "without opposition".
Phil Murphy is a Marxist asshole.

Don't take me word for it, but I believed they collapsed to hide. Antichrist William with a reestablished empire including a collapsed of America was a popular plan among the societies!

Re: British Empire: how big was it and why did it collapse?
The British Empire imploded not because of outside forces but rather at the end because of failed economic principles. Market forces were not allowed to make the necessary contributions to competitiveness. Thus, the model even though immensely profitable in the age of plunder, failed conclusively at the end. As resources were not used effectively at all.

British colonies were not generating massive profits for the home government. When WWII rolled around, England was undersupplied with war materiel and lower on money than some countries might have thought.

Much of England's might came from its control of a variety of countries around the world and from its relative control of financial markets. They lost their pole position in under a decade, and lost it to a relatively friendly rival that was once their colony--which at least beats losing it to a relentless enemy...

The British brought technology and civilization to the nations they conquered. They establishes law and enforced security. They also treated the native people like 2nd class citizens in their own lands. This eventually led to rebellion and loss of control.

It was a peripheral empire. It existed around the edges. Because of its Navy. It was easily pushed out of all the areas it occupied.

Its lasting influence was corporate. They were pirates that preyed upon the real empire. The Spanish Empire.

They sucked their man power dry in World War 1. Their best genetic stock died off enmass beginning with the Crimean War, the Boer War culminating with World War 1.

They are low IQ regards as a result.

Thanks to Queen Elizabeth, Britian is browner, dumber and poorer than when she was crowned. She's a huge failure. A disgrace.

She can't even blame a revolution.
