Dude... you've been here for how long?

I don't get people who have money and never had to work a single day in their life, unless they choose to; but always wish to provide unsolicited advise.

I think it's because people like that have no perspective on other folks' lives, have no earthly idea what it's like to have to scrape or save or work harder or extra in order to make ends meet.

Thoreau said that the greatest miracle would be for someone to be able to see through another person's eyes for a day, to be able to live that other life.

Some cultures have the expression, to walk in someone else's shoes/moccasins/sandals for (at least!) a mile before criticizing or judging them.

For some people, the walk would have to be marathon-length because they have somehow been hardened to the plights and challenges of others, and so have great personal obstacles to overcome in order for them to be compassionate.
