Re: Dog Treat Recall
You can buy your dog the best food or treats and then your dog given a chance will eat garbage out of a garbage can.

Re: Dog Treat Recall
I never feed my dog any food or dog treats made in China...

The treats are American made.

My dog eats people food such as chicken cutlets and pork chops. I also give her pork chop bones and Country Style spare ribs. I do have premium grade dry pet food that I have out in her bowl. She prefers dry cat food over the store bought premium grade dog food. Go figure...

I have a big, fenced in, back yard that she runs and plays in. Even with the exercise, she is putting on a few pounds. May have to try the slow cooker recipes and see how she likes them.

My dog loves string beans. She will eat them fresh off the bush...lol

Re: Dog Treat Recall
I would never give my dog those cheap dog treats. They wouldnt eat them anyway. I give them dream bones and never had any problems. They are pricy kind of pricy if you have more than one dog but worth it.

Re: Dog Treat Recall
Merrick Pet Care is recalling multiple beef dog treat varieties due to elevated levels of beef thyroid hormone.

Dogs consuming high levels of beef thyroid hormone may exhibit the following symptoms: increased thirst and urination, weight loss, increased heart rate and restlessness.

These symptoms may resolve when consumption decreases.

If a dog consumes high levels for a long period of time, these symptoms may increase in severity and may include vomiting, diarrhea and rapid or labored breathing.

If your pet has consumed the product listed and has exhibited any of these symptoms, please discontinue feeding and contact your veterinarian.
