I'm in Florida. I had a problem, couldn't stay sober. Caused me a lot of problems.

When the day came and I could ask myself if I would do ANYTHING to change, and the answer was yes - it set the ball moving in the right direction.

I checked myself into a residential 6 month rehab program. Worked the 12 steps. Graduated from rehab, joined the program they had for graduates. Got a job and lived in their half way house, rent was $350 per month. Continued going to 12 step meetings.

My sobriety date is July 8th 2012.

Today I am a homeowner and have a career. I have a respectable retirement account. I have a wonderful girlfriend. My relationship with my family is better than it ever was. But most importantly, I am happy and I sleep well at night. I do not live with regrets and I do not crave or chase intoxication. I have my life back. The same peace and comfort I knew as a child before the days of partying began.
