That is pretty much why a few times when I was in severe pain and thought I was going to die, it was "whatever happens happens".

Medical care is too expensive. It is for rich folk and non whites.

The private sector has been decimated with skyrocketing premiums and part time, rather than full time employment, while the public sector continues to receive not only high pay but extremely expensive healthcare and bennies. In our Township the politicians dismiss the cost for our 30 municipal employees at $246K a year, but when you add in healthcare, pensions, benefits and all of the insurances they require the true cost jumps to over $620K! It comprises 23% of our total yearly budget.

While I begrudge nobody any of the perks they can wangle, this is clearly unsustainable. And we are not even talking about the "Cadillac Plans" that the DC scum get!

And have you noticed that historically speaking, poor people tend to not have teeth? Dental care is another luxury that the wealthy like to keep to themselves.

I'm 45 years old and I've only been to the dentist 3 times and I have all My teeth. My father also never goes to the dentist and He has all His teeth so I don't think poverty has anything to do with it.

Must be a genetic component. I've never seen a black person with bad teeth. Then again, dental care is 99.9% personal responsibility and .01% dental care.

There is no substitute for genetics, to be sure. I saw a news story last July about a free dental care event that was held like a flea market in Virginia last year. From what was shown in the clips, most of the work was extractions.

Yes, Medicaid, the gift that keeps on taking. My longest old time buddy is an RN that works for a “healthcare” corporation. He makes big bucks administrating the Medicaid patients that he is given to oversee. Through legal technicalities we are actually allowing millions of foreign nationals to come to the US, sign the proper paperwork that will allow them to be medically treated for their ailments once they hit the ground. Their maladies vary all over the spectrum and when they are done they are even given prescriptions for OTC analgesics such as Tylenol, because by doing so, the government will pay for them as well. These people then go back to their home countries, where my friend maintains contact with them and makes sure they go for their follow up treatment back home with wellness visits and prescriptions all paid for buy US?

Yet all of us, including the government yawn when these facts are brought to the table. The government does not care because they and their corporate masters are all profiting greatly from it, the people don't care because many of them are playing the system and the rest are too bust staring into their Tecnno-Baubles entertaining themselves or looking for a good Chinese restaurant.

Back in 2002,when I went on my last hospital orientation, they stopped calling admitted people "Patients". We were to refer to them as "Customers ". That's when I knew healthcare as I'd known it was over. Besides, healthcare being on the stock exchange, shows they just want to make a profit.

I asked a so called Medical Professional about this (care for profit) deal ,tell You what She told Me , quote " Well it is a Business " Doctor's don't have Your well being in Mind ... there depending on You to support their lavished lifestyle ...

Take control of your health. There is a wealth of info on the net. Don’t give away your power. If you have to look for someone in natural health care that isn’t a scammer. They are out there. And you will actually get something for your time and money.

Do the basics. Floss and brush daily. Eat a good diet. Use baking soda on your teeth. You can mix salt with it. Rub tea tree oil on gums for any problems. Even braces don’t cost that much because there are payment plans. You don’t have to be wealthy to have good teeth. People just need to be smart about it and use some common sense.
