As a true expert. This cannot be true. It's obvious that the kid just parrots the information from adults. With security certification like some of the following (CEI)
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA)
Certified Secure Computer User (CSCU)[4]
Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)
EC-Council Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
EC-Council Certified Computer Investigator (ECCI)
EC-Council Certified Encryption Specialist (ECES)
EC-Council Certified Incident Handler

This certs take an absolutely many years and I'm sure if questioned by a real reporter on this knowledge there is no way that kid understand all that information. It takes actual decades to be a master of these types of subject. No way a 12 year old could tell me the vulnerabilities of IoT, which is a fairly new subject of computer science. With IoT the hacker would have to have an immense knowledge of how networks, satellites, radio tech, electrical engineering, and the electromagnetic spectrum interact (this would just be an basic introduction study)...even if the kid was a genius he would have to study day and night since he was about 5 years old just to read or process the information. Even the best in the world guys like me have to spend an enormous amount of time to master even one of these subjects. To actually be able to explain to the world media IoT hacking would require multiple PhD degrees...no way a 12year old could do it. . Professors at Carnegie Mellon would have a hard time at it. I'm one of the best in the world and I just don't believe it.
