The police not finding him would have surprised me years ago not no longer does. Any dealings with the local police I've had have been surreal and the stupidity shocking. We had drug dealers move in next door and basically handed them to the police on a silver platter. They told us to move if we didn't like it. One time we watched the same people at night sneaking into people's yards, checking windows etc. and the police took a half for to show up long after they dispersed. Local policing is shockingly bad and the people they hire on the low end of the iq scale. This isn't the police of my youth who would set us straight, were approachable and took pride in their communities.
