Since when does a govt say: well we are breaking the law letting you smoke dope, but you can't have guns because that would be breaking the law. Proves it has nothing to do with the law, only the objective. That is to confiscate all firearms. |

Why TF would you go get a med license when you can buy it pretty much anywhere on the street or even just grow it yourself in the jungle. It's so easy and turns out real nice with the good climate out there. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 20442394 United States 06/30/2019 08:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sounds like a law suite to me. Since, when did anyone smoke weed an do a mass shooing? What is the connection? Quoting: Hope Rising 70% of the US population is on some type of medication. 50% of those are on psych meds. If the Supreme courts back this , this can't end well. What do we know of mass shooters? So far we have learned that they are fatherless boys before the age of 10 years old and took medicine to regulate their behavior and or sleep patterns. Even the Pulse shooter went a few years without his father, only to be teased and bullied for being gay and he too took meds. So who do we need to ban from owning fire arms? Angry fatherless men who take psych-meds. I'm sure a mmj card shooter event will conveniently happen to support this. Maybe I'm wrong but it sure wouldn't surprise me. Like you said, I think all psych med patients should be turning in their guns rather. There are no warning lables on marijuana containers that say " may cause suicidal or homicidal actions" but those warnings are all over psych meds. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75756784 If they had a gun I could easily see it being a problem. Yeah, also coffee addicts, alcoholics, chocolate heads tobacco, tea, cola, Prozac, Game of thrones, ect, ect, people go nuts when they can't get their fix. The few sane, enlighten ones need to control or eliminate the undesirables. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 63927796 United States 06/30/2019 04:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If you have a medical marijuana card, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals says that you can’t buy a gun. The court ruled 3-0 on Wednesday that a ban preventing medical marijuana card holders from purchasing firearms is not in violation of the Second Amendment, the Associated Press reports. There are nine western states under the appeals court’s jurisdiction, including Nevada, where the case originated. A lawsuit was filed in 2011 by Nevada resident S. Rowan Wilson after she tried to purchase a gun for self-defense and was denied based on a federal ban on the sale of guns to users of illegal drugs. Though marijuana has been legalized in some places on a state-by-state basis, it remains illegal under federal law. The court maintained that drug use “raises the risk of irrational or unpredictable behavior with which gun use should not be associated.” |
