Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states the power to call a Convention of States to propose amendments. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 to ratify any amendments that are proposed.

The Convention of States Action resolution allows the states to discuss amendment proposals that, “limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, and place term limits on federal officials.” This is truly a solution as big as the problem.

So sorry for your loss, KB. We're currently struggling with an ill cat as well and it hurts my heart every day. Can't imagine the pain of losing this one. Prayers for you and yours in the process of healing.

We had to put down a family cat a little while back. she was 24 years old when it was time. She will always be missed.

Somehow, we seem to have plenty of replacement kitties arriving at our door. We have 4 currently.

Sorry to hear you have a sick cat. I hope she gets better soon. Ours had cat aids and went downhill really quickly and it was hell having to watch her decline and then make the decision to end her life, but no medication helped, she wouldn't eat or drink and I couldn't watch her suffering anymore.

Sometimes you just have to do the hardest thing for the right reasons.

Secret Service Protecting John Bolton

Secret Service Police vehicles have been monitoring the home of John Bolton, a former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, for at least the past two days.

On Wednesday and Thursday, two white SUVs, marked as belonging to the Secret Service Police, were parked across the street from Bolton’s home in a Maryland suburb of Washington, D.C. The vehicles were backed into the lot, with an officer in each one looking out at Bolton’s home. Thursday afternoon there was an uptick in activity, with three marked vehicles and several unmarked ones standing by as people carrying black bags left the residence. Public records confirm that the house belongs to Bolton.

The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations under George W. Bush and national security advisor for Donald Trump, Bolton is currently a foreign-policy pundit advocating for increased U.S. involvement in Ukraine. Bolton also runs his own super PAC.

It is not immediately clear why Bolton or his home merits Secret Service protection. Although that agency is best known for protecting the president, it is also authorized to protect other individuals if an executive order calls for it, as well as in the case of “national special security events.” The agency’s uniformed division guards facilities and venues on behalf of people under Secret Service protection.

The states can change the constitution, the congress will not change their own rules for running. To many of the people in congress have mental decline and this is putting it mildly. Pelosi is just one of them. There should also be a set number of times congressmen and women should be allowed to run. This is not a career it is a service to their country, that is service period. They have turned it into their piggy bank and are drunk on power.

True, and to break it down to its basic legal terms, the U.S. Constitution is,

technically speaking, a CONTRACT between the several States on rules for the

common governance between them, that's ALL it is. We can obvisously see that

this notion is lost on most of the US citizenry as the Federal Government has

far outgrown the size and scope originally envisioned by the Founding Fathers.
