Houston Methodist suspends privileges of doctor following controversial tweets about COVID-19 treatments

Dr. Bowden claims she has treated more than 2,000 patients with COVID-19 and has been outspoken on social media recently about vaccine mandates and treatments.

“The issues with Vaccines and iivermectin really go against patient autonomy and their right to choose their treatment,” Dr. Bowden said.

Dr. Bowden told KPRC she feels some people are even being discriminated against because they have not been vaccinated.

“That led me to send out an email that I was going to prioritize seeing the unvaccinated,” Bowden said.

“Dr. Mary Bowden is a Stanford-trained physician who owns a successful medical practice in Houston and has provided top quality care to thousands of Houstonians. Dr. Bowden has treated more than 2,000 patients with COVID-19, many with co-morbidities, and has yet to have one of her patients end up in the hospital. Her early treatment methods work and are saving lives. If America had more doctors like Dr. Bowden, COVID outcomes would be much better.

Pentagon: Oklahoma Guard must comply with vaccine mandate

The Pentagon's top spokesperson on Monday insisted Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin had the authority to require National Guard members to get vaccinated against Covid-19, despite new resistance from Oklahoma's highest-ranking military official.

"It is a lawful order for National Guardsmen to receive the Covid vaccine. It is a lawful order," Defense Department press secretary John Kirby told reporters at a news briefing. "Refusing to do that, absent an approved exemption, puts them in the same potential [for disciplinary action] as active-duty members who refuse the vaccine," he added.

Kirby also argued that Guard members would not be shielded from the Pentagon's vaccine mandate under Title 32 of the U.S Code, which provides for governors to mobilize the Guard within their state.

Under Title 10 of the U.S. Code, by contrast, Guard members are mobilized for federal active-duty military service.

Good Catholic Joe Removes Religious Protections for Federal Contractors

Slowly but surely, Joe Biden is eliminating the religious freedom protections that Donald Trump established.

The latest hit comes from his Labor Department, which is planning to undo Trump’s policy of protecting the religious freedom of federal contractors.

Trump’s Labor Department protected federal contractors who “hold themselves out to the public as carrying out a religious purpose.”

“Religious organizations should not have to fear that acceptance of a federal contract or subcontract will require them to abandon their religious character or identity,” said Trump’s Secretary of Labor Eugene Scalia.

Before leaving office, Trump strengthened a Labor Department rule granting exemptions to religious organizations.

Biden’s Labor Department plans to discard that rule. As usual, Biden claims he’s eliminating “discrimination.” His Labor Department says that it must scrap Trump’s rule so that “taxpayer funds are not used to discriminate, especially in the performance of functions for the government itself and, thus, for the public.”

In other words, organizations that object to Biden’s LGBTQ agenda and support for abortion rights won’t get federal contracts. Currently, Biden is mandating CRT/Gender training for employees of the government.

The Dr. Anthony Fauci email dump includes a puzzling image — a March Madness-style tournament bracket of fatal diseases, in which coronavirus emerges as champion.

The image is titled “Dr. Fauci’s March Madness Bracketology Picks.” It is dated March 11, 2020, and signed “—Tony F.”

In the morbid pool, coronavirus — top-seeded out of the East region — defeats a field that included such dreaded diseases as Ebola, H1N1, Zika, herpes, and measles.

Whether it was a weak attempt at gallows humor among Fauci and his friends, or a published cartoon being forwarded around, isn’t clear. But the image did generate shock on social media.

“Gross,” one user tweeted. “These people are sick,” tweeted another.

During “March Madness” — the trademarked nickname for the NCAA’s annual basketball championship tournament — bar patrons and office workers commonly engage in such low-stakes “bracket” pools.
