If young people planned right they shouldnt have to work all their life. Sex kills most young men and puts them in debt right off the bat. For what? Happiness?? Quoting: IfyouseeK On a similar note, European countries' workers all get at least 4 weeks of paid vacation time per year. Not here in the good ol' USA where at a lot of companies you have to work one full year before you even get ONE week of vacation. Countries in Europe also get more paid holidays off as well. |

Call it 7 hours a week, then. That's 1 hour per day. They were able to plant and till the fields, slaughter the hog, cook their meals, mend their clothes, gather hay to patch the cottage roof, etc. all in one hour a day? Or does "work" only relate to the hour they spent delivering the grain to the feudal lord? All that other stuff wasn't work, it was 'what they wanted to do'? BTW: I originally wrote feudal b a r o n, but was given a warning not to attack POTUS's son, even though that's not what I was talking about and the b wasn't even capitalized. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 75204368 -40 hour work-weeks (overtime? subtract that) 128 hour left -56 hours of sleep (recommended 8 hour interval 72 hours left to cook, clean, wash & fold laundry enjoy life, browse the net... I wish at times I wasn't in business for myself as I seem to have less time than 9-5'ers. You forgot to add commute time to and from work, so you can probably subtract another five hours from your 72 hours of free time. It's all by design of course. |

A 112 hour work week is quite easy every few weeks if one loves what they're doing. I don't care how great one's job is, 16 hours a day would get old real fast, even if it's only one week a month. You would have to have the epitome of a dream job, a job that fulfills one's deepest passions, yet allows one to take care of personal things while on the clock. Probably less than 1% of the population has a job like that. |
