In my opinion, the Trump presidency at this stage has emboldened the deep state.

They were terrified in the beginning, but now the deep state senses it can survive and neutralize the first AND LAST threat to their globalist plans.

The deep state knows that in a country populated with intelligent citizens, it would have been OVER for the deep state. But they underestimated just how stupid Americans are, and just how effective the liberal/Democrat propaganda has been. America is full of people who despite evidence continue to believe the propaganda. The literal definition of brainwashing has occurred. Now they can remove Trump under bogus charges and nobody will object! At least not enough will object to matter.

Notice the new focus on taking out Ivanka, Jared, and Don Jr. They're going to indict ALL of his children. And then get him on obstruction of justice bogus charges when he tries to protect them.

Perhaps you don't realize that Congress cannot hand out indictments? Or prosecute? Or put cuffs on anybody? That's the DOJ job and that is why Gowdy sent the letter to the DOJ.

The point was that nobody has ever gone to jail after those awesome "GRILLED BY GOWDY" youtube videos.
