I have not been to Seattle for many years. However the last time I was there, was probably in 2000.

I remember walking down the street sidewalk and seeing a bum laying there apparently asleep, but in his hand was some cash.

I shook my head, stepped past him and walked on. He was obviously trolling, and why? What a dump!

A lot of homeless join gyms to bathe and shower. Other than that they park close to places that are open 24 hour a day.

I got in a fight with my x a few years ago and ended up sleeping in my car. I got woke up in the middle of the night by a fucking knocking hard on my window shining a super bright light at me. I didn't know it at the time but it was illegal to sleep in my car at that location.

You got to ask yourself, what happens if you end up having no place to sleep but your car?

With 8 years of Ohomo's commy rule, lots of folks have lost their job and have no place to live.

I'm not saying that they should make it a law that you can sleep in your car anywhere you want, they should just take each case on it's merrit and perhaps don't worry so much about a guy that may be just down on his luck, temporarily.

It's not safe for kids to play in the parks there because of all the used needles laying around. People sleep on the streets all over. They steal bikes & camping stuff from places like REI all the time because they have a don't call the police policy. Tent cities everywhere. Others live in beat up RVs where they move around a few days at a time to avoid being towed. Lots of drug dealing & meth labs going on inside them. Seattle caters to them to attract more of them so they can claim there is a homeless crisis to get more money from the federal government.

I don't understand. You're saying it was a 'good' thing that when people had nowhere but their cars to sleep in, that they lose their cars? What happens when a car is towed? Does the owner lose their car, or just have the inconvenience of having it moved?

There too?! We have Estate Wardens who drive around with cctv, but one of the things they do is hassle people sitting in their cars, not sleeping.. as they are residents anyway. Some are playing with their phones, laptops, listening to music or sport on the radio, working on their car..but these nasty little Wardens order them away from their cars unless they're driving. One night, was sitting in my van, watching some fella load in & out of this car to his lock up garage, as he ran his own business. CCTV wardens arrived, then lots of police arrived, then they came to me to demand what I was in my van for. Fuckers!.. should mind their own business..!!! I was just playing around with my navigation device to make sure it was reliable.. so fuck all.. to do with them! Poor lad had to lock up his garage & go home. I don't drive now, cos they banned all vans off the estate now. Been informed recently, if I get a car, I may not get a parking permit if I cannot give a good reason for having a car. Fuck off..! If I wanna car, it's cos I fucking want to drive from A to B.. thick cunts.

Had a long layover at Seatac, Took the train into pioneer Square to early in the morning; nothing but coffee shops, homeless,Panhandlers and construction going on. Lots of cops patrolling because of the construction I believe, nothing seemed to open till lunch or later. Decided I was safer back at Airport when i noticed a few guys following.
For all the hype that area still sucks like it did 25 years ago when I was there.

I don't know if that is true or not, but there has been a huge influx of homeless ever since pot was legalized. I would still doubt 20% though. We're not as bad off as LA...yet.

These are my personal observations, not from a news source. But a lot of this is being talked about in the local news because people are fed up.
