Facebook and Google Struggle to Squelch ‘Crisis Actor’ Posts

SAN FRANCISCO — On Wednesday, one week after the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., Facebook and YouTube vowed to crack down on the trolls.

Thousands of posts and videos had popped up on the sites, falsely claiming that survivors of the shooting were paid actors or part of various conspiracy theories. Facebook called the posts “abhorrent.” YouTube, which is owned by Google, said it needed to do better. Both promised to remove the content.

The companies have since aggressively pulled down many posts and videos and reduced the visibility of others. Yet on Friday, spot searches of the sites revealed that the noxious content was far from eradicated.

On Facebook and Instagram, which is owned by Facebook, searches for the hashtag #crisisactor, which accused the Parkland survivors of being actors, turned up hundreds of posts perpetuating the falsehood (though some also criticized the conspiracy theory). Many of the posts had been tweaked ever so slightly — for example, videos had been renamed #propaganda rather than #hoax — to evade automated detection. And on YouTube, while many of the conspiracy videos claiming that the students were actors had been taken down, other videos that claimed the shooting had been a hoax remained rife.

I rarely go to youtube, unless it's to watch college girls shake their asses. For real political news, I got many different smaller youtube knock offs. Easily googled.

I can't knock ya, there are still a couple of platforms and companies I haven't fully weened from, Amazon and Youtube being two. But youtube makes it easy, since they deleted the bulk of the channels I subbed to.

Remember the non stop anti bullying campaigns about 5-6 years ago? We are now seeing the fruits.

This is all happening in advance of the upcoming midterm elections, and the next presidential election.

The Globalists realize their absolute control over television, magazine, radio, newspaper, and online MSM was not enough. They underestimated the depth and power of alternate media and the ability to communicate TRUTH online. So now they’re directly censoring our ability to communicate TRUTH and expose their lies.

I fear it will actually work.

They took down conservative channels, conspiracy channels, gun channels and even airgun channels that had broken absolutely no rules whatsoever. This was not an accident. How do we know this? No Airsoft channels or left wing "opinion" channels were attacked at all. We're supposed to believe they never break the rules? What about Paul?

This was a coordinated effort, period. Maybe some of the people lied to get their jobs as mods at Youtube, or maybe it was a dry run by the execs to see how much pushback the left would get if they went full commie. Time will tell and actions will speak for themselves but trust in Youtube is definitely in the toilet.

Since they've hired the SPLC to monitor Youtube for 'hate', this is to be expected.

They didn't pull anything by mistake, they know exactly what they are doing.

I was thinking about that age change, there are married people with a least one child and not 21 years old.
That renders them as parents instead as children without adult rights.
They would be over their family and household as non-accountable age parents and spouses.
The would become vulnerable households and families unto other changed out laws, court cases and any accusations.
They may even come to see their child or children taken from them like we see in other nations today.

It is not good at all to strip away the adult age of 18 from our people in anyway.

All that shit about fighting the cold war, how its better to be dead then red, and now here we are, seeing the reds invoke restrictions, bans and censorship and all that cold war shit we put up with and stood against for all those years, that kind of propaganda is being institutionalized and its going to be a case of seeing where this goes, lets just wait and see and just go along like the comrades went along and did not steer the revolution in the people's favor, but just allowed the corporations merged with government to steer the narrative, govern by crisis management and reaction but I suppose its better to be red then dead these days that the iron and bamboo curtains fell so that the world could embrace the merger of capitalism and communism rather then free men to stand their ground not to trade their shrinking freedom for growing security....
