For those who don't understand what was being said by Graham:

He was saying that God has called many to Him. Many are called but few are chosen. Many hear the call in their hearts and souls but few turn their lives over to Jesus Christ and follow HIS teachings.

Graham never denied Christ.
Isaiah 5:20 KJV
Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Re: Reverend BILLY GRAHAM HAS DIED--RIP Gods Brave Warrior
I grew up as a southern baptist, I grew up hearing Billy Graham preach revivals, preach at Ridgecrest the Baptist Retreat at Black Mountain, etc.

Tears are in my eyes as I pray for those of us left on this earth, as his presence was a rock and foundation for so many peoples of this earth.

I hope you are in the presence of God and although your passing will leave a huge void in the hearts of millions here please pray for all of us still here to strengthen our faith.

After all planes had been grounded on 9/11, only Graham's plane was in the air heading to Washington as he was called for his faithfulness during a time of crisis.

The great Billy Graham recognized that Jesus Christ is the Judge. It is not the place of any human to say that this individual or that individual is in hell. We leave that to the all wise Judge.

Just heard it on Fox Business.

 Quoting: Lady Jane Smith

AMEN!

Those under the age of fifty really won't appreciate what a tremendous impact Graham had on global culture - not just U.S. society- but GLOBAL. Whether speaking in Brooklyn or Barcelona, Winnipeg or Warsaw, he welcomed those crowds with open arms the same way Christ did: powerful or meek, rich, poor, clean, dirty, believing or skeptical he spoke them all and they left with their hearts filled with love not only for God but for their fellow man. Now, that's something special and no other evangelist has ever duplicated what Billy Graham accomplished.

Those who wonder why he was so popular need only look at the man mimself. He was humble and actually despised the public adoration he recieved whereever he preached. He never built a megachurch, or owned his own TV satellite... he didn't NEED to because his words were powerful enough to drill into the hearts of his listeners without extra glamour and glitz.

When I was a kid back in the late 50's young people weren't as empty [in heart, mind or soul] as they are today. Graham's Youth For Christ groups sprang up in high schools -urban and rural alike- all across America and it was very common to see students walking from class to class with a Bible tucked under their arms along with their textbooks. But, perhaps the most important thing was that they actually read it [as much as if not more so] right along with their Algebra! And, it wasn't just the "nerds" who did this, but the jocks as well. In fact, back then sports and spiritual faith went hand-in-hand. When those pre-game prayers were offered up in those dank lockerrooms, they came from the heart! And they didn't focus on annihilating their opponent, but rather living up to God's standards of personal behavior on or off the field. You see, their Coaches were Christians, too!

I remember sitting in front of out little pastel-green 12" B/W TV and watching Graham preach at his phenomenal crusades. And no thinking person couldn't help but be moved by the experience. I know I certainly was even though I haven't seen/heard Graham preach for over thirty years. What he said STAYED WITH YOU long after the crowds had gone home and that little screen went dark.

And that, my friends, is what defines a true legacy!

Re: Reverend BILLY GRAHAM HAS DIED--RIP Gods Brave Warrior
Few humans as we know that are known by the world stay out of the world , he was one of the few.

Graham was offered a five-year, $1 million contract from NBC to appear on television opposite Arthur Godfrey, but he turned it down in favor of continuing his touring revivals because of his prearranged commitments.[24] Graham had crusades in London, which lasted 12 weeks, and a New York City crusade in Madison Square Garden in 1957, which ran nightly for 16 weeks.

During a 1953 rally in Chattanooga, Tennessee, Graham tore down the ropes that organizers had erected to separate the audience into racial sections. He recounted in his memoirs that he told two ushers to leave the barriers down "or you can go on and have the revival without me."[41] He warned a white audience, "we have been proud and thought we were better than any other race, any other people. Ladies and gentlemen, we are going to stumble into hell because of our pride.
