It is a medically documented fact that my daughter was missing for 3 days. All that time I had at least a dozen ultrasounds.

Re: My Daughter's Story

That's good that you didn't have an abortion, and that your daughter ended up okay and you also.

However, she did not go to heaven for a few days. That is ridiculous. No where in the Bible does it say that people go to heaven for a few days. Either they are to be resurrected to heaven or to the earth in the future like the Bible foretells... but either case is not temporary, it is permanent.

And the big clue here that your daughter (or maybe it's you) that is making it up, is that you claimed that Jesus came to serve her food? Uh reallY? Spirit creatures (Angels) do not eat food. Only physical bodies eat food because it sustains them.

If you google "vanishing fetus" you get mostly vanishing twin stories but there are other people who experience disappearing single pregnancies. This is the only one I've heard of that came back.

The loveliest part was that there were animals to play with in Heaven.

And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.

How do you know they don't eat food?

The act of sharing food and drink as a group has been around since man was created. The best of times are when we share with family and friends. I'm sure God would want us to continue this wonderful art of conversation, shared knowledge, praying beforehand, and then eating and drinking together.

I believe her daughter, and I believe her, and I believe in God, The Son and Holy Spirit.

Re: My Daughter's Story

Aww, your daughter reminds me a lot of my daughter, who is only 5 so far (about to be 6). I hope someday mine will turn out just as great, and just as successful.

I Have a little story of my daughter from before she was born. When I was pregnant with her, I told myself before going to bed one night, that I wanted to meet my daughter in a dream and see what she looks like. I believe it was that same night when I had the dream about her. She was in what felt like a class room setting, and her "teacher" (felt like a spirit guide to me) allowed my daughter to meet me. She ran up to me and gave me a big hug. She had really long, blonde/brunette hair that seemed kind of wild. That's all I remember from the dream.

Fast forward a few years to when my daughter is old enough to where I can start to see her facial features and personality coming through. Around age 3 and onward, my daughter had a big thing with giving everyone hugs. She would hug her daycare classmates, her daycares teachers, and every time I picked her up from daycare she would run up to me and give me a big hug, just like in the dream. Her hair was super fine, and broke easily with a hairbrush, and took a while to grow in, and I would always notice girls her age would have 2-3x times longer hair than hers. Her hair has always been pretty wild looking, lol. But as she's getting older, her hair is finally past her shoulders and getting thicker. I think it was due to an Iron deficiency she had when she was younger.

I had another acknowledgeable dream when I was pregnant: The night before my water broke, I had a dream that I was in the hospital sitting in a chair, hooked up to a machine with a bunch of wires. And the nurse was telling me "nothing is happening."
>>>Well, the next night at around midnight before I was about to get into bed, my water broke. But I wasn't having any sort of contractions yet. So, we weren't sure if we should just go to the hospital right away, or just wait around until contractions started? So we decided to pack what we needed, and go to the hospital. Everything I had read said that a baby needs to come out within 24 hours of water breaking. We were admitted at 3am, and by noon the next day, STILL no contractions! So I believe it was around 1pm they decided to start the Pitocin and started hooking me up to all sorts of wires. Wires to my arm, wires up where the sun don't shine.
Very similar to my dream, lol.

She ended up being born right before midnight. I had 4 hours of just pushing at the end. I realized the time, and thought about the date: 3/12/12 and realized I liked that date and wanted her to be born on that date, so I did all I could to make sure she came out before midnight, lol. I thought 3/13/12 wouldn't have felt as good.

My first date with my husband was Thanksgiving night, and my daughter was born on Thanksgiving 5 years later.

I'll tell you what my 3 year old child told me. Angels are created creatures made by the hand of God. People who die do not become angels, they are the saints. In the bible it states there is no pain or hunger but it never says that food isn't there for our pleasure. My son is also a gift of God. Born without oxegen and survived and has an unusual relationship with God. Nothing the OP stated seems unreasonable. God is great and so is op and her children.
And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us;
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him

Re: My Daughter's Story
I know exactly when I got pregnant, which was the 3rd week of April. The end of July is when the surgery took place. My daughter was full term on February 16th.I was a bit over 3 months along when I had the surgery. I had ultrasounds earlier than this stage for other pregnancies, and they clearly showed the baby.
 Quoting: tiger1

Your dates are off ... If you conceived 3rd week of April, (say, April 21) that would give an LMP 2 weeks earlier (say, around April 7) and your due date would've been Jan 12. A Feb delivery would be a month (4weeks) too long.

A normal 40 week pregnancy from LMP with a term delivery date of Feb 16, gives the LMP of mid May. Which would be approx 8 weeks pregnancy at July surgery.

(btw, gestational age is determined 40 weeks by LMP. Not date of conception. This is because women know when their period is. But conception is variable and has a 3 day window.)

If you look up ultrasound images of 8 week embryos...they are still VERY small at that age.

Even still, my original post still stands -

When you understand how ultrasound works, it's history and how it's used today, it's not so surprising really.

As a medical professional, im just trying to describe those variables to help explain what most likely happened in your experience.

1) Two decades ago, ultrasound dating was notoriously an imperfect process. A tiny bit off on measurements could have a drastic affect on age and due date. Even today, a tech can make small mistakes that have a big impact on gest dates and fetal size.

2) 24 years ago...machines were poor resolution and limited tech ability. And because the equipment was limited, most early techs were cross trained from other modalities and had no proper training. Many techs and doctors just didn't know what they were doing back then. Heck..many techs nowadays still do poor scanning. Lol

3) Ultrasound is OPERATOR-DEPENDENT. Most radiologists hate reading uls scans because they have to depend entirely on the tech and hope the tech knows what they're doing.

CT and MRI takes an image of the entire anatomy at a certain slice. But in ultrasound, a very small transducer has to be swept around ..using "acoustic windows" ...like a full bladder.. to even see anything. So many things can be missed. If the tech can't find something, then the reading rad won't see it either

4) Anatomy. Certain variables.... such as patient size, prior surgeries, organ size/lay etc....can make scanning and diagnosing very difficult. Like my earlier post, a retroverted uterus will make seeing the top of the uterus near impossible on some women. Acoustic artifacts can impede imaging ability.

And no, I'm not trolling.

I've been an ultrasound tech for 20 years. And my explanation for the "missing baby" outlines exactly what can, did and will continue to happen in the medical field.

Ultrasound is a very unique modality. Abnormal anatomy can be missed and normal anatomy can be mistaken for abnormalities and tumors. It's not like CT, MRI or snapping a pic where the whole region is seen.

It's a very complicated process where life and death decisions depend on an experienced tech. (The next time you have an ultrasound exam, it's not a bad idea to ask your tech how long they've been scanning for)

This explanation doesn't negate your spirituality or faith in any way.

You definitely had a difficult pregnancy filled with trials and miracles.

But because of the reasons outlined above, it's not surprising at all that they weren't able to image an early embryo properly.

Yes she did. When she started preschool at age 3, she could already read and comprehend,do math, etc, and was way advanced for her age.By 5 years old, she taught herself to play the piano, and gave a concert when she was in Kindergarten. When she was in 3rd grade, at the start of the school year, her Teacher called me in to discuss her educational performance. The Teacher said there was nothing to teach her in grade school, as she was already at the high school level. In middle school, she skipped a grade, and was doing college level work. She always graduated at the top, all the way from grade school through college. Her college was totally paid for.
She is an Accountant/Financial Analyst/Recruiter for a Fortune 500 company. She continues to do volunteer work for charity. Until she started this job, she was also a volunteer coach for younger children and a tutor and mentor, and had been doing so since she was 14 years old.She gives freely of herself whenever she can, and always has. To me, this is so much more important than her getting all A's and the job she has, the fact that her heart is so big in helping other's.
