Maybe but it is no loss to the AC cos you already have a number applied to you. This is not a bad suggestion imo.
It only helps everybody inc you cos i have some AC friends (if i can remember the number lol) and would like to easier identify them with a name to go with it.

EG - You could be AC Moon or AC Telescope... see what i mean and so long as you are under this number you could be recognised as such OR one of your chosing but stays with your IP.

Of course proxies would dodge this but most people don't so i think it is a good idea no?

You are the bread n butter of the forum imo and despite the regular bs from some offer some great insight to current events and day to day issues/thoughts etc AND just when it is getting boring some AC will pull a thread out of nowhere that lifts the forum and gives some great entertainment between the lows etc....

One AC gave an honest reply and said he wants to hide behind his number. You do realise that it is YOUR number and so letters attached makes no difference right?

It is totally illogical and so any against argument is irrelevant seeing as all AC's are known by a number so why is a name so scary???

My guess is cos it identifies them TOO EASILY and so people INC AC's can reply directly to them too easily etc as they recognise a name rather than a number.... This does not help me however cos i have difficulty remembering a number but a name is fine.

THAT - is the issue ... negative for them, positive for me but my wishes don't count and so ...... i cannot connect with my AC friends cos of illogical paranoia??!!
