SpaceX - how did it get PAST Mars so FAST
Forgive my ignorance... how did it get past Mars in a day when it took several days to get to the moon. I’ve read articles in the past that indicated it would take months to get to Mars. What am I missing?

Have I been living under a rock...?

The Tesla convertible didn't go past Mars... YET

It's trajectory and orbit will put it beyond Mars' orbit.

The car is still relatively close to Earth.

Cheers! cheers

How long will it take to get to a distance equivalent to mars? Does anyone know?

"It will pass within about 69 million miles of Mars on June 8 and cross the red planet’s orbit in July before reaching its farthest distance from the sun — about 158 million miles — on Nov. 19."

2018 was a golden time to do what Spacex is doing.
The Earth-Mars orbits are such that the Tesla will fly by Mars in October of this year.

Normally this could take a couple of years to get there.

When they sell it as a factory demo, the mileage is gonna be a bitch. “Just space miles.”
