Back then there was also the National Asthma Center which saved my life. Quoting: Secretizer I hope that you do find answers. It is horrible not being able to breathe. I was hospitalized countless times as a kid and also had pneumonia at least twice. In fact I have scarred lungs. But thanks to GOD, my asthma is very under control for a long time now as long as I stay away from dogs, which are my worst trigger. National Asthma Center doesn't seem to exist anymore. sniff Our cats are family and the only thing keeping us going through a rough time. I sure hope it isn't them. Not sure we would stay sane without them....seriously The eosinophils were only slightly elevated and I was told it would be higher if it was the cats. Gradually use more mullen and less tobacco. Clears lung congestion and phlegm. Look up Lomatium root. Grows on dry rocky and grassy hillsides in the pacific northwest. Leaves look like carrot. Careful...umbrella flower family. Looks also like poison water hemlock and cow parsnip. Those are down in the creek bottoms. This won't be down there. Up on the dry slopes. look it up. Soak root slices in pure grain alcohol and make tincture drops. Natives in the west in the know have used it for centuries. Works on flu's and cold's. Even Kung Flu. Quoting: Fat Freddy's Cat I don't smoke anymore but I might smoke some of my mullein - grows all over the place here. I have wondered if it wasn't an early release ... Quoting: whoopty_woop Nonsmoker, no prior history of anything other than bronchitis as a baby/pre-teen. Me and a cousin started having difficulty breathing in 2018-2019. We both were given inhalers in 2019 before Covid was identified. We are both now adult asthmatics and middle aged needing bronchodialators before any strenous activity to include walking in and out of stores or going up stairs. Vitamins D-3, lipsomal C, quercetin with bromelain, selenium, iron, zinc, copper daily keeps the chest mucus at bay. Remember to take K2m7 with your D3. Helps to keep the calcium in your bones. Thanks! never heard of K-2 M-7. I think I have 20 some odd supplements since pandemic started and regularly take about 5-10 per day if I can remember. Potassium is the one I cannot take much of. It is a certain type of Vitamin K. Do a little research on it. Very important when taking Vit D K2. Others can cause issues. PJ |

Quoting: WhiteAngel Have been doing mullein tea which helps but I am staying very tight with the breathing unless I am doing nebs every 2 hours or so. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Keep getting sick over and over which is only triggering the asthma more. Update: NOTHING THE DOCTORS HAVE BEEN DOING HAVE HELPED ME AT ALL. I am doing DuoNebs 4-6 times a day I am doing Budesonide 2x a day and once in a while I do it 3 times. This is Symbicort in nebulizer form I take zinc, D3 x 10,000 IU, K, B complex, B12, C x500-5,000 per day Nothing is working and I am TIRED of living like this Pineapple juice and SMOKE the mullein. It's very smooth and has a different effect than drinking tea. Also, make sure you're not around dusty fans or ducts. |

I don't have one those things but could use a N95 mask, since I can't breath with the thing on, so I have to stay in the house or in the car. When in the midst of an attack, I do the pursed lips breathing. Sometimes helps a tiny bit. Only the nebs keep me away from the emergency room. I can carry walking pneumonia around for months before it becomes apparent since most of the early weeks of it seem just like bad asthma, then boom, I fall on my face and realize it's not just bad asthma. Go to a small doctor, don't wait until the ER claims it's Covid pneumonia and they intubate you. You need as hard run of serious as antibiotics. I keep my own antibiotics now at home just Incase. Good luck, good health My lungs don't really feel full at this point but I did have a very bad sore throat about a month ago, which lasted almost 2 weeks. Now I have laryngitis. The breathing issue has been almost this bad for 2 years with Dec 2017 starting the whole mess. During the last maybe 6 months it has gotten worse and now it is pretty bad. Have a tele-med appointment set up so I can get a Z-pack and a two week burst of Prednisone (which I hate that stuff). My regular doctor is used to me and knowing I know when I need the heavy duty stuff. But nothing so far has done a thing for the asthma. It clogs membranes. Conversely, green tea (hot green tea as a drink) opens membranes and is a potent anti-viral. Lysine is a common vitamin supplement and acts to prevent virus replication. It is effective at controlling SARS, and there was an Israeli study showing that it reduced hospital time to 2-3 days. It is safe long term, but rendered ineffective by caffeine and nuts (which contain arginine). Not medical advice. |

What I saw in a video is that you inhale the steam as it's brewing. Hubby did that and was relieved pretty quickly. We are all now drinking the Mullein not only for that but of it's healing properties. Purchased some Manuka honey however haven't tried it yet with the Mullein. I'm sure it will help as well.
