Serious Asthma Advise Please | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 76235257 Romania 02/10/2018 04:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Honestly - it never ever bothered nor triggered the asthma. I have had other people tell me the same thing but only with the menthol cigs. The only times cigs hurt me is when I have pneumonia and then I can't smoke period. Used to be a 2 pack a day smoker and now down to 3-5.....not bad I've smoked for 14 years and never once had breathing difficulties. That all changed this year out of the blue. I think Mexico or Canada (maybe both) are releasing something into the jet-streams. |

Serious question - I almost panic when it happens So this is about the 3rd or 4th thread this week alone where people are describing this exact condition. Breathing difficulties causing panic attacks or vice-versa. Mine all started with a random cold I got that came on strong, and then was gone within 48 hours like it was nothing. A few days later I get severe asthma and panic attacks that stuck with me. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31901319 Hmmmm, perhaps you just have a chest infection playing up with you asthma at present, and only antibiotics can clear that. Sorry that's all I got. You could do with a doctor and the stethoscope test if so. I have had two rounds of pneumonia since before Christmas. You are right about this being triggered by the bugs that have been kicking peoples butts this winter. Have to see a lung doc in March, earliest I could get in, and I know they are going to want to put me on even more potent drugs and that is what I don't want to happen. Poison. No, no, go next week or tomorrow. If you're finding it difficult to breathe and you think it's an infection which isn't clearing, you need antibiotics. It will overpower the asthma and no amount of inhaler burst will help. Please go. I love you You are sweet. I have appointment Tuesday for re-check but I am almost positive the pneumonia is gone. OK good, don't wait, your lungs are important and having had the pneumonia you should be careful and have a proper check. Have a chill now and take care |

Quoting: WhiteAngel Have been doing mullein tea which helps but I am staying very tight with the breathing unless I am doing nebs every 2 hours or so. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Keep getting sick over and over which is only triggering the asthma more. I got random severe asthma a few months back. From threads posted on GLP lately, this seems to be a pretty common occurrence. Wtf is going on? All started with a weird, weak little "cold" I got and never went away. Bingo!!! Same danged thing for me. Got a little cold around the first of Dec. Wasn't even that sick, but I haven't been well since then either. Then it turned bad because the asthma was out of control and ended up with the first round of pneumonia I was doing elderberry 3 times a day until someone posted that it can trigger asthma, stopped and it helped. It is good to keep it away (from what I understand) but not during an attack. Diet for me works- no gluten, no sugar, no caffeine, no added salt, no processed foods. Seemed to help with time. My inhaler wasn't really working anymore. Back on track if I really watch the food. When I get a cold now, I go straight to Oregano oil. Works great for respitory stuff. Asthma and colds do not mix well. I know it'll be tough, but, I'd stop smoking cold turkey. That can't be helping your lungs at all. |

For example, when you next have an attack imagine a Black grizzly bear standing about 10 feet away, snarling and hungry. Your asthma would not be your number 1 focus and priority! Don't fear death and calm your mind down, its not forever. |

People treat caffeine as if it's a benign, harmless substance when really it can create serious problems for some people. |

I know one lady here with asthma who uses her sauna, puts green fan leaves in the bowl on the "rocks" (its an electric sauna) then gets in there and breathes the steam (after turning all the equipment off, she is paranoid about passing out). Steam your weed. |
