While most all Americans do have immigrant roots, placed in context I think it's clear Trump is juxtaposing an obligation to citizens first, 800k DACA "dreamers" second. It was clearly an attempt to claim the "dreamer" narrative from the Dems- which was brilliantly handled.

We saw a man with only 1 leg and old crutches who escaped from North Korea stand tonight for our President more than any Democrats.
